Liven Up Your Life with Lights that Sync to Music
The media could not be loaded. This is a review of ELlight LED Strip Lights with Music Sync, 32.8ft Dream Color LED Lights, Color Changing LED Strip Lights with Remote for Home Lighting Kitchen Bed Flexible Strip Lights for Bar Home Decoration. The package for this contained two spools of led strip lights, a single control module, a single power supply, a y connector cable, a single straight linking cable and a remote. There also was a bag of 10 plastic hooks with an adhesive back. There was an instructional sheet with details for several ways to hook up the lights and instructions on how to use the remote. The control module offers a function where the lights can be synchronized with music. The control module has a microphone in it which can “hear” the music or other sounds that will cause the lights to blink to the music in different patterns and colors based on the selection. The description says there are 5 music settings and 20 other settings that are not affected by music.I tested these by connecting them with the Y connector and control module in the center under my television. I put the control module right against my sound bar and the lights were very active when I play something from a music channel. I found that the control module seems to function better when the music is louder but it also worked with the music turned down to a lower volume. The control module also will respond to other sounds, not just music. I turned on the news and the lights were very active as I listened to the weather report. While this was interesting, I think after a while it would be a distraction while watching television. When I first connected the lights, they came on for a few seconds pulsing in a couple of colors and then stopped. I thought there was a short or problem and disconnected and reconnected with the same results. After a moment of this, I realized that the lights were in music mode and would only light when the control module heard sound. It was at this point that went back and carefully read the instructions. In looking at the instructions, I noticed several ways to connect the lights to the power supply and control module. I have another set of LED strip lights that I use on my travel trailer. They are connected with the power supply connected to the control module which is then connected to the light strip.A feature of these strips that was different that I really liked is that they are not only wired with the small flat connectors on the end of each strip but each strip has a connector that could be plugged directly to the power supply without the control module. The control module then can be connected at the other end of the light strip or both strips can be connected with the controller at the opposite end of the power supply. In this connected configuration, I found that the non-music modes of the lights chased or functioned as one long strip of lights instead of two strips flowing away from the control module when using the Y connector. Also, I discovered that you could remove the control module from the lights and they stayed on just as a solid strip of white LED lights. This seems useful if you decide you just want to use them for bright white light. Using the control module and remote, there are solid light settings but none of those are bright white that comes from removing the control module.I have not affixed the lights using their adhesive. For me, I want to be able to move them around and use them in different locations and my wife does not want me sticking them to the walls or furniture.I am very satisfied with the quality of the lights. The LED strip lights are similar to other strip I have used except these strips have the added built in connector to go directly on the power supply cord. The controller is a small remote and has less buttons that other LED light remotes I have had. I have found this remote easier to use and have learned all of the functions it provides. The instructions with this set are the best ones I have received with a LED strip light set. They are clear with diagrams if you take time to read them carefully. I found that trying the remote as I read the instructions helped me to get a feel for how it worked better than just hitting buttons and seeing what they do. The remote is pretty small so you will need to be careful not to lose it.For someone looking at LED strip lights for indoor use, I recommend this set because of the flexibility of connection methods and the synchronization to the music control module. That feature can provide more entertainment than just a regular set of LED lights with multiple presets. I have purchased other lights previously from this manufacturer and have found them very responsive when it comes to needing support or handling problems that may arise with their products.I received the ELlight LED Strip Lights with Music Sync, 32.8ft Dream Color LED Lights, Color Changing LED Strip Lights with Remote for Home Lighting Kitchen Bed Flexible Strip Lights for Bar Home Decoration in exchange for an honest review of the product.

Great price and looks awesome
We set these up in our living room to go with our speaker setup. We ended up using small pins to help hold it in place against the ceiling, as the sticky backing lasted about 5 minutes. With the pins every few feet though, it holds up fine. The lights look great and it has a lot of settings. The sound activation feature is cool, although they need to be relatively close to the speakers to work perfectly. The remote is super small and kinda cheap feeling, but it works great from every distance and angle of the room. I hid the receiver behind a flag in the room and it still works without me having to point the remote directly at it. I like the fact that you can extend the lights, and I plan on extending them around the rest of my room in the future because I like them so much. The only small downside I can think of is that occasionally random LEDs will flicker when the lights are turned off. I'm not sure why it happens, and it happens on all different diodes. It only happens for a split second though, so it's no big deal.

Two sets of strip lights. Both magnificent.
The media could not be loaded. These are great lights. After purchasing this IR remote controlled set, and being very happy with it, I later got the bluetooth version from this vender. Both sets are a great value, on some really cool lights, and you should definitely buy one, but which version? This is a review of both of those sets.Bluetooth Lights:https://amazon.com/ELlight-Multicolor-Waterproof-Flexible-Lighting/dp/B07M9XHYVB/First of all, you should buy a set of these lights. Aside from the controller, both versions are the same. They are easy to install and look amazing. I bought them to decorate our glassed in porch and I change their color for various holidays. I like having two sets because I can make some fancier effects. For instance I right now have the lights around the ceiling set to a blue chase, and the lights around the window and door set to red and white stripes for U.S. independence day. Both sets of lights remember their programming even when powered off, so I have them on a timer to come on at dusk, and go off a few hours later.Plan your placement carefully. There is a warning on the bag that the lights come in not to exceed 5 meters (the length of 1 roll) in a series. I missed this warning when I put up my first set and connected both spools in series and I think burned out the first 3 lights on my first string. I have since kept them at a lower brightness (they are still plenty bright) and they have been running 8 months now without problems. The bag comes with a Y splitter to run both spools, but there is not a lot of slack between them. You can buy wires to extend the distance between them here: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07G7X61W3/As for whether to get the bluetooth version or the IR version, both are great but have different strengths. The bluetooth version gives you a lot more options for color and pattern. I can make my red and white stripes with it. It is also app based, so you don’t have to keep track of a remote. A potential downside is that in the future, if they stop updating the app, you might need to hang on to an old phone to control your lights. The IR remote is a little more future proof. The IR version also has a mic, and can pulse your lights in several different patterns in time to music. This is a cool feature that I have played around with, but haven’t used much. If you plan to use it, you should make sure the mic is very close to one of your speakers or your music will need to be very loud.
