This is all I need to keep my cookbooks open and clean while I prepare dinner. It holds both paperback and hardcover books open with the little weights that drape above the pages to keep pages flat. Spiral-bound cookbooks are no longer necessary. I have tried placing a hardcover book with a 2 1/2 inch spine in it and it stays open with no problem without the ball weights. I'd purchased an acrylic version of this stand years ago and it was difficult to slide books into it and it could not be angled the way I wanted and it grew cloudy and unattractive after being wiped off a few times and was difficult to store yet too much of an eyesore to leave out. This one is decorative and can be left on the counter, the hinges adjust to your desired angle and the legs will fold in for easier storage if desired. I could not be happier with this purchase and highly recommend it, especially for the reasonable price and the fact that it won't end up in a landfill. To answer a question that was asked by the community, it is made in China.

I got this for hubby to hold his cookbooks. It is a nice design and works well to hold cookbooks. It won't work on a super thick cookbook but I think it is perfect for most cookbooks. We have left it out on the counter since it is decorative. It does fold up so that it can be easily stored if preferred.

Even though it is a bit bigger than I envisioned, it is just perfect. Sturdy and holds all sizes of my cookbooks. No trying to prop the book open or lose the page and try to find it in the middle of making a recipe. The hanging weights are great!! A wonderful addition to my kitchen. Makes cooking a lot easier when I can go to the book and look quickly at what I need to do without fear of the book falling or losing my place.

By far I have gone through so many recipe holder’s and this so durable it’s thick and as you can see it holds my very thick recipe books. This makes a wonderful gift for any occasion especially bridal showers I’ve paired cook books with a stand and a chef that holds salt and pepper shaker . Definitely thick , durable and very giftable. I love this recipe stand.

I actually love this thing. I was sort of expecting it to show up and for me to be slightly let down, because I haven’t had the best ordering luck lately, but this thing is great. Sturdy, elegant looking, and it holds my books and pages in place really well
