Makita 199386-8 Tool Hook, 7-1/4" Cordless Circular Saws

I wish it would take a little more force to fold it in and out, but it’s fine as is. Although I’m using it primarily as a rafter hook to hang on things and keep my saw out of the mud, it also makes for a really nice front handle on my XSH06. The front handle on that saw is kinda useless compared to this hook.Honestly, if you ever use your saw two handed, this hook is worth buying just to use as a front handle. It makes a perfect handle and gives me a lot more control when starting cuts two handed.

This hook fits exactly as it should

Won’t even fit my saw. I bought it for the 36v makita warm drive. Yet wouldn’t even fit it

It's entirely too big and gets in the way of your blade vision when folded in. Bad design. Go back to the drawing board on this Makita. No wonder they don't include this hook with the saw. Looks like they must have though "this thing is kind of crap, lets just sell it as an aftermarket part for now instead of having it on the saw stock."

I suppose Makita makes this hook to accommodate their complete range of saws. I my 7 1/4" it is massive.Hard to get used to.
