Make sure the static sheet is not visible.
I had originally wrote a different review that Amazon apparently did not like, but thankfully I figured out the issues I was having. My original review focused on the filter making the image blurry and having to deal with the rainbow circles like others on here. I have since figured out both issues. Starting with the blurry, there was a protective film on the inside of the lens that I somehow missed and I feel stupid for not noticing it immediately. Now the big one. The rainbow rings, at least for me, were caused by having the static sheet be partially in the camera's fov and the way light was diffused caused the ugly colors. Now that both issues are fixed this is a wonderful filter that really does help to reduce reflections from my dashboard and makes the image look nicer.

Good value
It works. Cuts down the reflective glare from the dashboard and bright lights. Just snaps on

Clearer Footage, Less Glare – Great Upgrade for VIOFO Dash Cams
This polarized lens is a must-have if you’re using a VIOFO dash cam, especially during daytime driving. It noticeably reduces windshield glare and reflections, giving you clearer, more detailed video footage. Pros: • Reduces windshield glare and dashboard reflections • Improves image clarity and contrast, especially in bright sunlight • Simple to install—just clips on and stays secure • Adjustable rotation to fine-tune polarization angle for your setup • Protects the actual camera lens from dust and scratches Cons: • Slight darkening of footage in low-light/night conditions (expected with any CPL) • Adds a bit of bulk to the camera profile—barely noticeable, but worth noting

Helping hands for deducing glare
It was quite easy to install the additional lens for the VIOFO Mini V1. The video quality doesn’t decrease during recording, but it can be a bit darker in low light conditions. While functional, it gets the job done and was easy to install by clipping it to the camera. Be aware that it offers good value if you want to reduce glare, but since the plastic is thin, those who may be clumsy might break it.

Works great for daytime video!

Depends on your car
Does slightly reduce glare from center console but this is dependant on your car. Easy to install, but costs a little much for such a small piece of glass

A must-have for Viofo dash cams with a few caveats
If you own a Viofo dash cam, then this CPF filter is a must-have that will greatly reduce the glare during both daytime and nighttime driving. 1. The CPL filter slightly darkens the video. To offset this effect, you can increase the exposure in the dash cam setting up a notch. 2. The polarizing film is taped onto the lens which doesn’t produce a smooth finish. This doesn’t affect the video quality but the film might wear off over time. It would be nice if the lens itself can be polarized instead of using polarizing film tape. 3. The CPL filter can’t be rotated to adjust the polarization angle. 4. The filter can easily be attached to the dash cam lens by sliding it on from the side.

The CPL-200 is for the front camera, CPL-100 is for the rear one.
While looking for information for polarizing filters for my Viofo A229 Plus, I didn't see any details about which filter CPL-100 or CPL-200 was meant for the front or rear facing camera. Looking at a handful of YT videos, it became apparent that the front camera uses the CPL-200, the rear uses the CPL-100. To seat the circular filter seems straight-forward but it wouldn't go on readily, but tilting it slightly as it was pushed into place worked, along with using a bit of force. Be sure to align the white mark on the filter's ring with the white mark on the camera lens shell. To seat the CPL-100 I had to tilt the unit slightly to catch the underside of the camera, then swing the top side into place, and with a bit of force, it clicked into place between the rear class and the camera. In the process of installing the front lens I saw that the lens protection film on the camera was *still in place. Doh! Now the videos don't have that unusual blueish tint, and the glare is markedly reduced.

I received an open box product. It was clearly used as I could see finger prints on the lens too
