Great keyboard & works fine with iPad Air 2 if... See review
I'm using this keyboard to write this review with my iPad Air 2, which is not supposed to work with the keyboard. But it does work just fine with the keyboard if you are using a plastic case for protection on the iPad Air 2. It adds just enough bulk, grip, and size to set perfectly in the slot with no wiggle or slip. However, it does not fit the keyboard when laid flat, but I did not intend it for that use anyway, so I don't mind, and I'm not deducting any stars as the keyboard was not intended for the iPad Air 2, only the iPad 2, 3, and 4. Now on to what I like about this keyboard.First, the customer service was terrific. They emailed me back within 2 days after I contacted them and made every attempt to provide a keyboard made for my Air 2. However, they were out of stock and were not able to do so, and after two weeks of trying, offered a refund. I figured out how to use the keyboard with the plastic protector, and after using it for two weeks while waiting, and didn't want to return it. Customer service is terrific. The keyboard itself has a very nice tactile feel, with just the right amount of resistance and travel. The size is perfect. It feels like my Apple Bluetooth keyboard for my iMac. However, I like the feel of the keys better on this one.The backlighting at its dim setting is just right for a dark room, and the brightest setting is perfect for a low light room. However, after using it for a couple of week, I find I rarely need the backlight. The light blue color seems to work best for me.The special keys are nicely placed, especially the "Home" key, which I use to return to the Home screen, to bring up the list of apps in use, and to activate Siri, bless her heart. At first, I hit the "lock" key when trying for the delete key, but now, after using it a while, I don't have that problem. The keyboard with the iPad in the slot works just right on my lap, which is how I'm typing now. The angle is just right, and it feels very comfortable, even after a couple of hours (I write a blog [doesn't everyone? :-)] and so type on it hours on end). Other times, I use "AirPlay" to project my iPad onto my 50'' flat screen monitor. Then I lay the iPad beside me, and use just the keyboard on my lap. This is actually the best way for me to use it.The battery lasts a long time. I don't know how long, because, after using it for two weeks, a little more, actually, it's still going on the initial charge.I also very much appreciate the sleeve they sent with the keyboard, even though it was not advertised, as it allows good protection for the keyboard when not in use.If you have an iPad intended for this keyboard, you will probably love it. If you have an iPad Air, and can't find one to fit, or don't care about using it as a cover for your iPad, and use a plastic cover, you'll probably love it as well. I would rather have this keyboard using it with the plastic cover, than with another keyboard of lower quality.

Love this keyboard!
Not only do I love the ZAGG keyboard, but it's really changed the whole way I think about my iPad! I purchased this particular keyboard because I don't like the added bulk of most other keyboards, which add a case around the iPad. This keyboard is thinner than the iPad itself and really doesn't add much to the overall weight. For protection, I just added a ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for iPad 2/3/new iPad (Full Body), which has been working very well.As I mentioned, it's changed how I use my iPad, which has really gone from a content consumption device to content creation. I now use my iPad regularly to take notes during lecture, create Pages and Keynotes documents, message friends, etc. Although I don't feel it can really take the place of a primary computer for many people, it has completely eliminated my desire to purchase a laptop. I have an iMac at home to handle the big stuff (like working with RAW photos or movie editing), but I use my iPad now for pretty much everything else.As for the keyboard, it's nearly (although not quite) as comfortable to type on as the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard. The backlight can get way brighter than you should ever need and it's easy to switch the color to whatever you prefer. My only issue with the keyboard has been that when I have the backlight set to white, a few keys in the upper left stay more of a blue/green color. For some reason, it only does this when set to white. But, it's really not a big deal and I rarely use the backlight anyway. I can't tell you how long the battery lasts because I have yet to have it indicate that it's getting low, but I can tell you that even if it had already died on me once, I'd still have thought the battery life was excellent! It has all of the function keys you'd expect, and they all work as you'd expect. One nice surprise I've found is that most apps will recognize cmd-C, cmd-V, cmd-B, etc., which makes for a much more computer-like experience and is easier than continuously touching the corresponding software buttons on the iPad itself.I also like the way the keyboard works with the iPad. When closed, the magnet works well to hold the iPad in place and it always shuts off the display when you close it, as it should. It's easy to open and when you place the iPad in either orientation, it feels very secure. There is no way to adjust the angle, but it's already at what seems to almost always be the right angle for me. Sure, it's not actually secured in any real way to the keyboard, but I've hit and slid it around a bit to see how well it held, and I haven't had any issues with it feeling like it might fall out. I regularly type with it on my lap, while on the couch, and it never feels unstable. In summary, I don't think you can find a smaller keyboard for the iPad that will be this comfortable to type on, match the battery life, and feel as solidly made. If you find one, let me know, because I'm done looking!

Great keyboard, but not really a "case".
I've used Zagg InvisibleShields a lot, and have always been happy with the product, the price and the service. In that vein, I have to say that this keyboard is great. Feels like top notch materials and construction, no Bluetooth delay in typing, quick & easy pairing, bright backlighting, strong magnets kept iPad in place (I had no problems with the iPad slipping out of the slot as others have mentioned). But this is not a "Case/Backlit Keyboard", and I'm a bit irritated at Zagg for describing it as such. This is better and accurately described as a "Keyboard/Screen Cover".A "case" suggests something that will enclose or surround the item placed in it. While the keyboard will do a great job of protecting your iPad's screen, the rest of the iPad is completely exposed, with nothing to protect it from drops, scratches or dings. In short, while the product, in and of itself, is great, I don't see how anyone can call this a "case". If you want true all-over protection for your iPad, you might be better served by a Zaggfolio or Zaggkeys Profolio+.
