Review: Great Deal! - When I purchased these headphones two months ago, they were only $30, which is a great deal for their quality. They sound great for budget headphones. They have excellent bass response, and though the highs and mids are a little lacking, for thirty dollars I don't care so much. They are very lightweight and have an auto fit headband which is really nice. The earpads are comfortable. The materials feel strong and durable. I use these when I am recording someone other than myself and I need to hear their performance as it is being recorded. These are semi-open headphones, which means that they don't isolate and they leak noise, so I don't recommend these for tracking with a microphone. Closed-back headphones would be better suited for that purpose. I don't mix with these so I cannot provide information about that. The only issue I have had so far is that I have not figured out how the cable detaches. I don't know if it really does detach. Overall, they are great headphones for the price.

**Q: How do I balance the sound so that the earpieces have and equal sound?**
A: After having the same issue myself, fault could also be a loose cable on of the earpieces. I just let a friend of mine who is into electronics fix it for me. He had to do it twice since there is not a protection to keep the cable in place and could be pulled out (hard pull, my case I tripped over the wire while on my head). He used a tiewrap inside of the “earpods” to hold the cable in place and could not be pulled out of the “earpods”. Handy tip to extend the longivity of the headphone. Using it since 2014 and still loving it. I also use a ATH-M50 wich is comparable only I find the M50 has slight more output.

**Q: Are these good for Mixing/Mastering?**
A: In my opinion, 100% yes given a quiet room. They are semi open so some ambient sounds can be heard if loud enough. Are they the BEST headphones for mixing/mastering, nope. Ultimately monitors would be the best solution, but if you're in an apartment or want an alternative sound source to compare with, these are great considering the 60ish price I paid.

A: Yes, both 1/4, and 1/8 will work.

These work really well for mixing and mastering. Like any listening/monitoring environment, you'll have to spend some time listening to music to understand them. I don't care how much you spend on headphones or wall treatment; you still will need to learn your monitoring environment. With that said. I'm making the best sounding records I've ever made that stack up with anything commercially released.
