Use several pieces across the top and down the sides. Don't forget to work the putty like chewing gum before you use it. **Q: Im glueing decorative tile to the top of my painted clothes hamper. I want be able to remove them will it leave a residue?** A: No, I have not experienced Sticky Putty leaving a residue on anything I have used it on. However, if it does, a little swipe with alcohol should take care of it. **Q: Has anyone used this (or any other brand) on textured, painted walls? My walls aren't smooth.** A: It would conform to textures. **Q: I want to "tile" a wall with (fairly shiny) plastic placemats. (i know. sounds weird.) if i put putty on all four corners of each mat, should it hold?** A: This is what is written on the back of the package in verbatim. Hope this helps. Ralph, PSJ Supplies.
