Great, great, great - perfect for the bedroom or the car
I have used the HOMAK, Secure-It Handgun Storage Safe and the Neiko 61013 safes. The Snap-On is the easiest to use, most accessible and secure safe I have found to date. I do not think that it will hold a full-sized automatic, but my Springfield XDm 45 ACP 3.8" with 13-round magazine and extra 13-rounder magazine fit perfect. I am going to buy a second one. The only criticism I have is that I wish I could disable the beeping when entering the combination. But go ahead and buy one, the quality is there and the price is more than reasonable. Comes with two keys, batteries included, an aircraft-type securing cable and the safe is compact and comfortable to use.

Nice solid safe, with cable included to secure it to an immovable object. Uses a series of 3 buttons to develop a code, not #'s
This is a good, small, safe. Don't be fooled, it won't hold a lot. But it is doing what we bought it for. There is a cable included to attach it in a car, to a bed frame, or other immovable object. It seems very sturdy, and the electronics seem decent too. The battery holder seems a bit cheesy, and the wires are exposed as you pull out the battery tray, so you have to be careful with this. The foam is thing, but at least there is a foam liner. There is a key override, which is great. Setting the code is easy, but it isn't numbers, it is 3 buttons that you can press in a certain sequence, to develop a code. And there is an electronic lockout if you try too many times. If it were a bit larger, and I don't mean much, and if more concern were put into the design of the battery tray, so wires were not exposed when changing batteries, I'd have probably given it a 5 star review.

Highly Recommended and I just bought two more!!
Great product! I highly recommend it to anyone needing extra security while on the go. Well worth the money.- Construction: It is a nice solid box with nice fit and finish. I have seen no obvious weak spots or flaws. The safe is great protection against a snatch and grab. It can probably be defeated by a thief with the right tools, but then any portable safe can be defeated with the right tools. I just don't think the right tools will be carried by most thiefs.- Electronic Lock: No problem installing the included batteries and changing the combination on the electronic lock. Contrary to previous reports about the electronic lock being slow to open, I find it fairly quick. It is not a spring loaded, pop the gun into your hand type device but for just storing items in it, the PC-650 is plenty fast. It is probably faster than the total time to pull the key from wherever you keep it, insert the key, and open the PC-650.- Key lock: The PC-650 ships with two keys per safe. I ordered two PC-650s and they came with the same serial number on the key lock. I don't know if this was planned or a bit of luck on my part. However, it is nice that the same key opens both PC-650s. This might be a problem for some people.- Odor: I did not notice an odor with the safes as some people have reported.- Size: The PC-650 holds my Glock 35 with one spare magazine very easily.20 May 2016 Update: I ordered two more PC-650. One came with the same key as the first two PC-650s I own. The main change I noticed between the two orders is that the newer PC-650s now have a slot with a cover that allows you to change the batteries instead of needing to use a wrench to open up the front compartment to change the battery.-- Size: The PC-650 holds my CT Laser equipped Glock 35 with two spare 15 rd magazines or two CT Laser equipped Beretta Nanos or one Beretta Neos with two spare 10 rd magazines. Sadly my Ruger 44 Magnum does not fit.-- Security: First and foremost, it keeps my pistols handy and safe from kids and casual lookie-loos. The security cable is fairly easy to loop around secure points in my autos and back to the case. The case is also easily concealed under or behind seats and not easily seen from outside the car.

Not trustworthy.
I have two of these; and they work pretty good. I use them when I'm traveling, or for other temporary storage. Both of them have been a little finicky. One of them no longer beeps when you touch the buttons; and the other just stopped working (temporarily) only to start working again later the same day.If you need access to the contents in case of emergency, or with very little time to react, you probably shouldn't get this one.

There is a serious critical flaw that renders this item near useless. First
Carefully consider the other reviews. There is a serious critical flaw that renders this item near useless. First, look at the positive reviews and see how long the reviewers have had the item - not very long. I've only had it for several months, and just did a "check" tonight to make sure I could access the case rapidly. It didn't work. Why? Were the batteries dead? No. The plastic battery compartment that holds the batteries is shockingly flimsy. The lag of rigidity means the batteries cannot make contact, and therefore you cannot open the safe. Unable to open the safe I had to hunt for the manual keys (defeating the purpose of having electronic access) and open it up only to find that the stunningly cheaply made flimsy battery holder was warped (despite being kept in a climate controlled environment and have had it only for a few months) preventing the batteries from maintaining contact, which prevented me from opening the case with the electronic code. I push the batteries into place, they pop right back out. If you are OK with only being able to access the case with a manual key, maybe this will work for you, though there are cheaper options for that kind of manual access. If you want an electronic key-code access, you simply cannot trust or depend on this case.
