La Crosse 705-109 Waterfall Rain Gauge

This is not fancy, but it is well made and easy to mount. The red plastic floats to the top so it is easy to read the total rain fall.

These are great, accurate and easy to read. Ours gets a lot of sun so they wear out after a year but worth the money

I have La Crosse weather station devices including the rain gauge sensor but I still like to have a "manual" analog gauge like this one - I trust them more. This one does give accurate readings and is relatively easy to install. But the level indicating float that is red to start out with bleaches fairly quickly on exposure to the sun. I just replaced my last one that was a few years old and the float had completely lost its color. This new one that is just two months old is already faded to a light pink (see pic).

Loved my first one!It happily functioned for 10 years until baseball size Texas hail took it out! It also was the only rain gauge that I could attach to a woodenprivacy fence and still see the floating red marker with my binoculars from my back porch…a Total Winner!!!

This item is not only very accurate; it is easy to read from my living room. I have it mounted on my deck and just look out my patio door to watch the water increase during a rain storm.

I received mine on a Sunday in May followed by a deluge that filled the reservoir the following day. With the torrential downpours, a 10" reservoir might be needed for accuracy!!

Easy to read from far away. No u.v. stabilizers in the red plastic float, it faded pink after just 2 weeks in the sun.

This is the best rain gauge we have had so far. Easy to install, easy to read and love that red plastic marker. You do have to be careful not to lose it when you empty the container. Would definitely recommend.

This needs to state it is in inches and not MMS for Australian customers.Looks great but I have to convert inches regularly to be able to have a yarn with the neighbours.
