The Grote 9007 clearance lamps on our motorhome had faded to almost transparent and had become extremely cracked since they were made 22 years ago. I did find the replacement lenses, but combining those with new backs made purchasing these LED replacements a no-brainer, as I would spend more on that just for five fixtures than I would spend for 20 of these. The five front clearance lamps were installed in the original locations with the original mounting holes, sealed with some thin foam sticky-backed pipe wrap I found at the local home improvement store cut to the shape of the lamps. The chrome-ish (plastic) trim pieces were not installed with them since just the LED lamp part without trim is the exact shape and size of the indentations where the original Grote lamps were. The wire used is actually a high-quality wire with silicone insulation. I also replaced our two side marker lamps which used the shorter, taller "double-bubble" style reflectors with these, and used the chrome trim ring in that application. Even so, I still have 13 of these left for other projects. Time will tell how well they hold up, and I will update this review if I find any problems.

Purchased to replace the old standard lighting on my 1999 Freightliner classic. They fit fine and look nice and bright. Not sure how long they will last though, as I don't think that they could have used any smaller gauge, thinner wire. Sure, you don't need thick gauge wire for the current required, but as thin as it is, I'm not sure it will hold up to much abuse from the pothole laden roads in America, let alone the winter road salts of the north.

Been on 3 days(Minnesota) already have moisture in them. Hardware is cheap as they come,threads strip out very easy. Bright as heck tho, I also siliconed the back of the wires where they go into the plastic to keep moisture from corroding wires

6 lights came with nuts and bolts but the rest of the 14 came with screws making them useless. Now I have to go to the hardware store to look for the right nuts and bolts otherwise I will have to return them.

After a week most have moisture inside. Some have leds that arent working already. Guessing it's because of the moisture.
