Zidoo H6 Pro Media Player is a 5 star network media/Kodi player - Play Store apps must be customized for this player or use a different input device to achieve an overall 5 star experience.Installation: Opened the well packaged box, plugged in power, Ethernet & HDMI cable. Powered up on network with remote working. Asked several setup questions & offered options. Chose default options by clicking next several times and was up and running. Recognized both wireless networks but I never tested.Hardware: The box is beautiful, well made, fast, high quality audio & video output, runs cool(power supply too) even after 12 hours use, very easy setup, network friendly. Has additional optical digital output to allow sound to older sound systems/sound bars with the TV off, no longer offered on Roku or Fire TV. Audio sent through both HDMI and optical by default. Many additional settings available. Get specs from the listing.Remote is clean & functional, has mute and volume control, standard or mouse mode. It does not have Rev/pause/FF, all 3 buttons I frequently use. The smart phone/tablet remote app has many modes including a gamer & keyboard text entry. They all work but are no help with YouTube or other Playstore APKs so far.Kodi & H6 are a great pair. Runs live TV from HD Homerun Prime, audio/video files from thumbdrive, card or network server. Recognizes network clients/servers and files by default with or without Kodi, handles username/passwords and plays every format I tried. Probably would open & display document files using PlayStore apps. I must add apps to achieve this on Fire TV or Roku. Roku won't run Kodi.Apps: Apps install easily from Play Store, however, are difficult to maneuver with the remote or remote app. These Apps are probably designed for a touchscreen. Both Fire TV and Roku use proprietary install libraries using apps that move between options using the scroll and select keys. I attempted to add a bluetooth mouse but it wouldn't pair. Added wireless USB mouse which installed and worked. This mouse allowed me to navigate the Play Store apps the remote couldn't handle. The mouse wheel scrolls up/down & pushing the wheel left/right scrolls vertically. I will be looking for a good wireless controller with mouse, keyboard and possibly other features to make this H6 more enjoyable. Kodi & Pandora work well with the remote. I find all other apps too awkward to use this way.Conclusion: I've used several different Roku versions over about 10 years & 4 years of Fire TV with Kodi, both boxes and the stick. My older boxes are passed down to family & friends. The oldest 2 Rokus are too slow but all others are still in use and working well. This Zidoo H6 player is more powerful, flexible and runs cooler than any other I've used. Zidoo is now my preferred player for network A/V files, Kodi and Pandora. When I find the proper input device I expect Zidoo will become my primary audio/video device. Enjoy!

++++++++++++++The big problem is that I have to in Google Play I have to uninstall updates in order for this to work, also Do not work with DIRECTV NOW and my wifi do not go over 50 mbps when my speed is over 100mbps, also no upgrades available so where is the support for this machine is it is unfortunate that this machine for the price it doesn't have a better support, also many problems with the remote control it doesn't respond to commands ++++++++++++

I've been messing with Android boxes for years and for the money, this is one of the best boxes I've used yet. Very fast processor, easy to integrate Kodi with other android apps for a more seamless experience. It does have a built in media center although I found it to be inferior to Kodi, which is available for free.. Can't attest to the boxes ability to work with pay Live Video Apps like Vue, Directv Now, or Sling, but it did work with all of the working IPTV Live TV Apps I tried, as well as all of the pay Video Apps like Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix, plus the Pay Music Apps like Pandora, SiriusXM Radio, and Amazon Music. The memory is expandable, Bluetooth remote works great which means the box can be installed on the back of the TV or in a cabinet (no need for it to be setting in sight of the remote). Very little buffering even on 4K movies, with a good internet/streaming service. I HIGHLY recommend this box. Save the money and the stress of buying $50 boxes that won't deliver and buy a quality box like this Zidoo H6 on day one, you'll be glad you did..

Faster than my G box and overall better Style remote is also sexy.

The box has worked fine since buying it in January but now has stopped working entirely. So it only lasted for 8 months. Beware!
