No need to spend more
These are fantastic. Clear but with great harmonics. These rival the handwound Custom Shop stuff from Seymour Duncan for a lot less money.

Very very good
Surprised just how well they sounded. And that’s what it’s all about. Price was outstanding, can’t say enough about how good they sound.

Good Pickups
I am used to buying boutique pickups for all my guitars, but I have a Squier Strat I didn't want to drop a lot of money in to make it sound good. These fit the bill just fine. Getting them all installed and testing them out I found them to give a great sound for the price, I wouldn't try to match them against some of the other 'hot wound strat' pickups from some of the bigger companies, but these are very usable. They achieved my goal of making the strat sound good without breaking the bank. Other companies charge upwards of 3 to 4 times the amount for these types of pickups, and it's made me reconsider spending that much on pickups when these work so well.

If you have a love-hate relationship with Texas Specials, welcome home.
I've been playing guitar for over 35 years, so it's not too often I'm blown away. These pickups blew me away. I've owned Texas Specials for a long time and I've always fought with getting them sound how I wanted them to... and even when I did it was always under the shadow of those AWFUL "vintage stagger" pole pieces designed for a wound G string. These pickups eliminate that problem with their "modified stagger." But beyond that they have a wonderful vintage chime and can go all the way up to SRV scream. I am genuinely blown away. Once I installed these and plugged in, I just lost myself in about an hour of just jamming with a smile on my face that just won't go away. I am IN LOVE with these. Now I don't know what I'm going to do with my Texas Specials. I might sell them because they command a decent price used. Another set of these might wind up in my other Strats.Full disclosure, my gushing is over the middle and neck pickups. As is always the case with my taste, the bridge pickup is way too brittle sounding. I will be removing the bridge and adding my Seymour Duncan Lil 59. That will be the perfect guitar at that point.

Wow, Just Wow
Wow.I am completely shocked at the quality of these pickups.I bought my Fender Stratocaster 7 years ago,The stock pickups were very low output, and sounded nothing like strat pickups. One day the bridge magically stopped working; so i decided to change from Single coils to Humbuckers,*Not the right move, wouldn't reccomend it...*,Now a full year later I decided to buy some single coils again, hoping for a proper strat sound.I was very hesitant about Tone Rider at first, there isn't a-lot or reviews, or tone demos around, so like always I took the "Amazon Gamble".I bought a protection plan incase I needed to return them, or they potentially die in a few months, but soon after opening the box I noticed there is a 5 year warranty that comes with your pickups. Immediately noticed the quality of the pickups were probably the nicest I've ever seen, I handled them with care, but ultimately didn't feel scared about holding them as if they were super delicate, they also have very good quality Ground, and Hot wires as-well.So I soldered everything together, started playing, and everything was just... Perfect. That's the word I choose to describe these pickups.Their output is significantly louder than most pickups I've tried/owned, and the tone is 100% on-par with my set of Fender Vintera 60's pickups,On top of that they are completely silent,Normally my guitar buzzes until I touch grounded metal *strings, tuners, whammy bar, etc.*;Not with these pickups.I have no shielding In my guitar and was shocked when the 60 cycle hum was not there with; Distortion, cranked full, no noise gate.Ive never been a big fan of specific pickup combinations, but the *Bridge+Middle* sounds just like a Telecaster and I absolutely love it!Of course I have to mention; The Neck+Middle is Super Plucky, and Luscious, *with and without the tone rolled down*All Pickups by themselves are of course Amazing! These are truly something I never thought I'd be able to find or afford pickups that sound like these, especially for the value. These are gold!If you Want to sound like every major Strat player; Hendrix, SRV, Gilmour, Blackmore, Frusciante, Mayer etc. I urge you to try these pickups. Specifically the TRS2 "City limits" pickup set.

Great pickups! Had to return them but the Seller made it right.
Great pickups and I'm very happy with the seller BYOGuitar. I ordered these to put in a guitar for my wife as a birthday gift. When I received them, 2 out of 3 pickups did not work. I contacted the seller and they had no problem sending me another set. I had them installed and wow they sound great! Almost identical to the sound of the Texas Special pickups. Thanks a bunch!

Great pickups. The low price is just a bonus.
These sound as good or better than any set that ive tried in a strat. And ive tried a lot. Lollar, fender, lace sensor, seymour duncan These are on top. The only other set that comes close are CS tex specials and they are almost triple the price.

Sound as good as any custom pickup set for much less $
These pickups sound amazingly great for the price. The might even win in a blind sound clip test against Lollars, Fralins, Duncans and the like. These are a bit hotter than the vintage set and get hotter with 500k (push pull) pots. Not that I need more ice pick shrill but the tone pot at 5 will be the same as a 250k at 10. I wire the push pull pots to add the middle to neck in series (almost a humbucker) and the same with bridge to middle in series. Then with both pots up I can get all 3 in series for triple coil bucker. More options :)
