EXCELLENT

We have always loved Black & Whites. There's that strong affiliation with NYC & it all comes back to eating these. They are not quite the same as the larger ones sold around the city but they're close enough. They are individually wrapped & with the latest hot spell, I thought they'd arrive in a melted mess. The box was in a larger box & they were perfect! They were also as fresh as if we bought them directly from Zabar's. They didn't last long but I'll be purchasing these again & again. As I said: YUM!!

I’m a huge fan of the famous NYC Black & White cookie. I had my very first one when I was around 16yrs old. I’ve bought similar versions of these from local stores and cookie and cake shops and they never have that same flavor to them as the ones you can only buy in NYC. I don’t know if it’s the water or what, but I have never had one that is as good as an authentic NYC made Black & White. These are especially good and they may seem like they are a little expensive, but they’re worth every single penny they cost. Extremely made to perfection and a lot of pride went into these delicious treats. Not everyone loves these or even likes them, but for the ones that do love them, like myself, these were a great example of how to make the perfect Black & White cookie.I was just amazed how much better and authentic these were compared to the ones that I have found locally. No, it’s not just my imagination, or that you can get three bags of Oreos for the cost, it’s just like the Beignet is to New Orleans and Cafe du Monde. It’s either a secret ingredient that NYC bakers have kept for years now or it’s the water they use. The texture is spot on, the way the black and white icing is applied is just like it’s should be and it’s the exact thickness. Every single one I’ve ever had outside of NYC is either the wrong texture, too much icing, or just completely different in every aspect.These are exactly what I have been looking for since my last trip to NYC before the pandemic hit and I bought these for myself as a present. These are very good gift items and they are very fresh and well packaged. The seller instilled their passion and pride for one of the most iconic NYC treats and each one is filled with the love of this unique treat that only NYC seems to have the ability to make perfectly.

You can’t be a kid and grow up in Brooklyn and not be familiar with black and white cookies, Dr. Brown’s Cream Sods or an egg cream. ( No cream or eggs used.) So where does that name come from?Anyway, back to the review. I go to see this one doctor every six months or so. It was holiday time so I gave him these cookies. I never opened the gift box, but it looks like the cookies are small and not like the 5”-7” diameter cookies we grew up with.When I saw him some time later, I inquired how the cookies were. He told me his children “gloomed “ them down like they haven’t eaten in a month. Well I guess that told me what they tasted like.Obviously I can’t tell you how these cookies looked or tasted like but hearing how is family liked them, I guess they ate more than acceptable.

When I was little, my dad used to take me to get these Black and White cookies at a little bakery near Ghent in Norfolk, VA on Saturdays. The bakery is not around any longer but I’m so glad I found that I can buy these cookies and they are still made just like I remember them tasting, smelling, and feeling! The old bakery used to make them a little bit larger in size but I’m also bigger now and everything is always bigger in your childhood memories!My dad and I would eat these cookies after enjoying a movie at the Naro theater or a trip to the Chrysler Museum. What I wouldn’t give to have my Da by my side enjoying one of these cookies again. These cookies were a nice treat to enjoy with my boys and tell them stories of how their Granddad got me to spin a Calder mobile as he stood on the sidelines as the museum guard tried to find my parent so we could be escorted out of the museum. Fun times!

I have ordered these before from another source and thought I was ordering the same again, but these were very small and stale. I won’t order again.

These cookies were very much a disappointment because they used to be my favorite! When I receive them not only were they have the size but they were extremely stale, again very disappointed!

These are EXACTLY the black and white cookies I was looking for. Taste and texture is perfect. Individually wrapped in a simple gift box.

Each cookie is wrapped and looks attractive, however the consistency was a little too soft for me.

My Mom is difficult to buy for. Thankfully, she Loved these cookies?!! She said they were the perfect texture and taste. She told me she'd appreciate getting them again. I think I'll order some for myself too.🙂
