Great. Except hole.
Love the size and product. My issue is the off center holes. This matters greatly if you want them to hang straight. Mine hang angled.

Great Product!!
I love the versatility of these tags. You can paint them for a permanent marking or use temporary paint so you can change them from year to year.

Very Classy and Well Made!
These beautiful slate tags are as perfect as I hoped they'd be. My thanks to previous reviewers for giving all the details you did to help me choose them. I took other reviewers' advice and bought a couple of Sharpie oil-paint markers to write with. I tried white and yellow and found that the yellow showed up best on the slate. I used two coats, and the paint dried quickly. I can't vouch for their durability yet, as I have only put them out in the garden today, but it's raining and so far they seem quite durable! They are such high quality that they really add a nice touch to my rose bed. I'll probably buy another set to put around some of my other perennials, too. I think that for how well they're made, this price is excellent.(Note: to hang them on the stake, you need to feed the bottom (dirt) end of the stake into the tag first and thread it up and around the hanging curl, if that makes sense.)

Attractive, durable, sturdy stakes, reusable
Used these markers in a client's vegetable garden. Make sure you get the right length stakes - I believe there is more than one length on the market. If they seem like the slate is not threading on, be aware they are fed from the bottom up to the curlicue, so the main slate face is face down as it goes up the stake. They mark easily with white paint markers, and I believe I used acetone to wipe off previous season's labels and add new plant names. I had no issues with slate separating in two seasons' time.

Just right!
I ordered a second set of these markers this year, having had great success with the first set, which I purchased two years ago. As you can see from the photos, I use them for plant markers in my herb garden; I expanded my plant choices this year, so needed more labels. You can't tell the difference between the markers I put out two summers ago (they spend our harsh Wisconsin winters in the garage) and the ones I set out last week. I get compliments on them on a regular basis, as they're so easy to read and very classy looking. I bought a Simply Remarkable 2 mm Chalk Pen to use for the lettering at the same time. it still works very well.

Attractive and sturdy
Attractive and sturdy. I’ve used different paint pen colours to remind me of the principal colour of the plant, just for fun. In my small garden they add extra interest, and I’m viewing them as an alternative type of sculpture. Pricy, but blend very well with the reclaimed slate, brick and stone in my cottage style garden. I have problems with my hands, so need a gardener - hopefully this will also help to remind him where things are once the perennials disappear for the winter. I have found you need someone with strong hands and a set of pliers to open the very tough wire enough for the slate to pop in.

Great for labelling your plants!
Love the product, gives my allotment a professional feel to it. Easy to assemble. Would be useful if they came with a fine tipped chalk pen or similiar writing implement.

These nameplates are excellent, but it's a pity that they are imported ...
Well packaged and arrived unbroken and swiftly. These nameplates are excellent, but it's a pity that they are imported bearing in mind the quantity of slate in the county.
