I very much like this garment bag
I very much like this garment bag. It is economical, well constructed and accomplishes what I wanted: protection for my hanging clothes while traveling and ease in transporting to and from my car. I noticed no outgassing from the fabric. The fabric is thin, lightweight. I was surprised that my clothing didn't wrinkle even tho I traveled with the bag looped back up from the bottom. I only recently wanted a garment bag. I used to pack all my clothing in a suitcase. But my clothing got very wrinkled. For some time now I have been carrying my dresses on hangers without a garment bag during travel. Several years ago I met a friend for a weekend getaway and she had one of those fancy, heavy garment bags. I immediately reacted to the horrible outgassing, even tho the bag was not brand new. This is why I was reluctant to get a garment bag myself. Now that I am planning a road trip with two of my grandchildren in the backseat, I began to look at garment bags to protect my clothing. When I found this one, I thought it might be what I was looking for. I am very pleased, especially when there was no outgassing when I opened the package. I also like the window in the front where you can peek inside without unzipping the bag. This is a great product at a reasonable price.

long and strong (enough)
After three or four road trips with this very long garment bag, I'm a fan.My routine with it has not included turning it over to airline baggage handlers. Under these less than rigorous back-seat-of-the-car conditions, I find that the bag exceeds expectations. I can carry significant numbers of shirts and suits, the first choke-point being how many of the protruding hanger-tops I can comfortably handle as I make my way from car to hotel room.In terms of quality of build and fit-and-finish, the bag represents well-constructed value at a low price point. I estimate it will last me several years for the kind of use I'm describing. It is significantly longer than the average suit, which means it may accommodate dresses or any user who prefers to hang trousers 'the long way' rather than bent over a hanger. Two nice-sized handles at either either hand mean I can bend the bag double, hold both end-handles plus the protruding hanger-heads in one hand, and walk the last ten years (or one hundred ...) to check-in while pulling a suitcase with the other.Nicely done.

It's very practical and useful for home storage or travel.
Oh my gosh, this black light-weight garment bag is a lifesaver! I mean, it's not like it can cook me dinner or anything, but it sure keeps my clothes looking fresh and fabulous. I put some cedar wood inside during storage time ). I'm pretty sure it's magical or something because I packed it full of my fanciest dresses and my husband's tuxedo and it STILL had room for more. It holds about 6 hangers worth, depending on how thick your clothing is. Since its thin, it's easy to fold in half and travel with. And let's talk about the wrinkle-free factor. My clothes looked like they just came off the runway (if the runway was in my bedroom, that is). I even threw in a pair of pants that I had crumpled up in the corner for a week and they came out looking like they had just been ironed. Now that's some magic right there.Sure, the quality isn't exactly heavy-duty, but who needs that anyway? It's not like I'm packing a suit of armor in there (although, that would be pretty cool). And honestly, the fact that it's not too heavy makes it easy to carry around when I'm traveling. I can even fit it in the overhead bin on a plane, which is a miracle in itself.I mainly use it for storage at home because let's face it, I'm not exactly jet-setting around the world (yet). But it keeps my clothes dust-free and organized, which is a big win in my book. And for the price, I'm getting way more than my money's worth.Overall, I would recommend this black garment bag to anyone who wants to keep their clothes looking fabulous and wrinkle-free (and who doesn't?).

Good for fur.
I was gifted a beautiful rabbit fur shawl that belonged to my boyfriend's great-grandmother. I wouldn't normally wear fur, but I didn't want to offend my future mother-in-law (who said her other daughter-in-law turned it down and if I didn't want it then they'd be giving it to Goodwill), so I accepted it to keep it "in the family" so to speak. They'd been storing it on an old, torn silk-padded wire lingerie hanger, with a cheap plastic dry cleaning bag over it, wrapped up in a ratty old cotton coat. Hardly the way to store a 100 year old fur and there are some signs of damage from improper storage. I can't afford to pay for professional fur storage, so I decided to at least get a nice wooden coat hanger and garment bag to keep it in.This bag works great at protecting it from dust and any general wear it might otherwise get from being hung in my closet. It takes up considerably less space than the old storage method, as well. The bag seems to be pretty solid construction--no tears or anything I could find and the zipper works well.

Perfect for the military uniforms
My son needed a garment bag for his dress uniform from the army. I bought this one because it was inexpensive not thinking about a long term use. This actually is made of strong and sturdy material which is great fit him. He can use it over and over again. It was the perfect size for his bulky military uniforms.

Ok, but not stitdy
If you just want to hang something in the closet, this will do. Can’t imagine it could handle several trips on airlines. The fabric is similar to the cheap shopping bags you might get for free or 10 cents at a store. It’s ok. Just don’t expect too much from it.
