Great Clippers!
After reading the reviews of this and many other heavy duty clippers (I was leery of it only because it is so much less expensive than some of the other heavy duty clippers) I decided to give it a try. As soon as it arrived (it was here in two days) I excitedly went out to the barn to try it out on Skipper, our 14 hand, 33 year old Quarter Horse/Arab. He does not shed very well and with the anticipated 90 degree weather, I just wanted to help him be as comfortable as possible. Now granted, not much bothers Skipper; I think he gave this clipper a hoofs up approval! It sounds sounded like an electric knife. It cut his hair like butter. The first day I broke it up into 6 sections; left side, right side, front middle and hind. After each section, I shut it off, took Skipper for a short walk up and down the aisle, cleaned and oiled the blades and continued our mission. The second day, I did his legs from the knees up. Yes, I was full of hair, however, Skipper was a wheelbarrow of hair lighter and today he is one happy pony. Absolutely love this product.

best long or thick curly dog hair cutter
i clip my long haired german shepard with ease in summer, and since it is very qiet they dont mind. i clip my poodle when is hair gets real long and curly in about 10 min. and another few min for his legs. it has saved me so much money for grooming fees and tips and driving to and from grooming appts. does not get hot easy if used correctly with the oil and cleaning after use is super important. also love the storage case.

Heavy duty - use the oil often!
These shears took my mare’s Cushings coat right off. It is loud and is a substantial sized clipper. I needed to use oil and the brush several times to clean things. This helped a lot!

It is LOUD
I just received this clipper. I got it to shave a very matted Pyrenees. I started it to see how loud it is and this is one of the loudest clippers I've ever heard. I have been clipping dogs and horses for over 30 years. I am afraid it is going to scare our dog half to death.I also thought it is heavy.May return it and find something quieter or may try it once.

Clips Cushings coat well
Yes I know she looks abused by a flow-bee, I’m not a pro and using new equipment. She’s a 30 year old pony with Cushings, her coat was dense before but now it’s insanely thick. These went through her coat easily and went much faster than with the usual ones I used. Not as heavy as ones I’ve looked at before. Vibration wasn’t too bad. Louder than the ones I had been using but the pony didn’t care. Would recommend as they weren’t as expensive as others I’ve found.

Worked Great Once
I bought this product in May of last year. I trimmed one horse with it in the summer. I thought it worked great for the price. A bit loud, but not too loud. I reopened it today, oiled it up and trimmed one side of my horse. Then it stopped cutting so well. I took and hour break thinking maybe it was too hot. Came back, cleaned it and began a again. Still not really cutting as well as before. I replaced the blades and started it again. It cut better, but after about 2 minutes the motor cut off. No idea what the problem is, if or when it will restart. I have owned this for less than a year and trimmed 1 and half horses. I tried to find a way to contact the manufacturer but it must be an Amazon brand (Made in China) as that is the only place they appear. I see they now offer a warranty, but when I bought it they did not. I was expecting a little more use out of this. I have contacted the seller via Amazon and hope they will make this right. Meanwhile, my horse looks crazy half shaved.

To big for small hands
These are to big and heavy for me. I’m sure they will be great for my horse and I thought I could use them for my dogs too but I can’t make them work for the dogs. There needs to be better information on the blades and tension. I did cut one dog on the neck so I will have to get something different for them. They ran fine but having to oil every five minutes is really annoying. They just aren’t for me
