Excellent product.
I used the duct seal recommended by the manufacture however, I use option B and carefully rivet the 1-1/2" ends together.

Great product. Hard to find (SEO), what sealant? and needs to come in shorter lengths.
Great Product, and I'm glad I found it. I knew what it was, so I was persistent in searching until I found this supplier on Amazon. Three issues prevent getting 5 stars. First, the technical sheet on the company website describes using a "Sealant" to seal the seam/overlap. However, it does not say what sealant to use for the material. Second, the product name is not easy to find. Most common in my engineering circle is "Duct Bellows", or purpose-describing names like "Duct Thermal Break", or "Duct Vibration Damper". There are so many purposes for this product that people are searching for, but can't find it. Some effort to put description keywords like those commonly used to search for it, would help. Third issue is that it should be sold in 10 foot and 25 foot options. 50 feet will end up putting a good amount of this in many dumpsters at job sites. That's a waste and bad for the environment. Residential projects only need 10 to 25 feet of this material. Small contractors can't stock it - it' not practical. These three are product management / marketing issues, but nonetheless, important in my review. Excellent product. If you have found it, and are reading this, you can rest assured it will satisfy your needs.

Used for connecting main trunk duct to heat/ac unit to reduce vibrations.
Also known as the plenum to trunk connector. This is what the contractors use to make the connection as pictured. Replacing mine with a new flex duct and just thought would show people here what its used for. Cut it and bend it to your unit size. Use s channels and drive cleats to attach one side and screw down on other side. Seal it with suretape mastic tape and you are done.
