Great deal!
I was very happy with this yarn. It’s been a while since I had crocheted anything and I bought 4 skeins of this yarn and I completed a beautiful afghan! Nice to work with and it didn’t knot up. Lots of yards to make a nice size blanket. Not as soft as some yarns but I am very happy with my end product.

Great yarn!
What a ball of yarn for the price! It doesn't split nearly as much as some other brands and the colors a beautiful!

Great Yarn
This was my first yarn I started crocheting with. Can be a little frustrating since it kept fraying when crocheting. But thats probably my fault lol.It feels greats in my hand and easy to work with.I didnt expect it to be huge! It was practically the size of my head. Its a great yarn to start off with however with it being acrylic. It tends to curl up when washed. I put it through a gentle wash and dry cycle, and the ends curled up. But that was the first time I ever really worked with it, theres much to learn about cleaning it.TLDR: Great yarn, has a lot of potential for projects. An absolute unit with like 700+ yards to work with. I recommend blocking it, so the ends dont curl up as much.

Red Heart Yarn in saturated amethyst color
Exactly what to expect from red Heart Yarn- a 4 weight acrylic with a bit of a scratchy texture that gets better after wash. The color is beautiful and saturated. The price was right 👍.

Great yarn, great price
Wonderful good quality yarn. It takes 3 skeins to make a good sized afghan. I have done two in this color for gifts and several others in different colors and patterns with lion brand yarn.

Wildly inconsistent in texture
Did I get a bad batch or what!!?Ordered some skeins of retro stripes for the colors and I was pleasantly surprised: it felt nicer that what I remembered of super saver yarn.Heard that they changed the formula and it is now less rough..So I felt confident to order several jumbo skeins in Aran color to add to my retro stripes funky blanket project.Well… the Aran skeins were not workable at all. Neither of them. Horribly scratchy. Maybe I got an old lot.It is like wrestling with plastic twine. It is not even just rough, it is splitted and crispy. Like it had somehow melted. Then a few feet later, it is better…not great, just not horrible. Puzzling. Not sure if it is the treatment to get this color that makes it different but there is a notable difference between the yarn with the retro stripe colors and the yarn with the aran color. Bought both in Red Heart super saver to keep consistency in texture so…bummer!I am half way through my project and debating whether to suck’it up and finish, or to trash it and return these used skeins, not to be reimbursed but to have Red Heart dispose of them as nuclear waste. That is how frustrated I am about these Aran skeins. They are exactly how I remembered super saver, or worse. I had to say something.Sorry for the rant.Maybe it softens when washed, as someone suggested. That is my last hope for this project. Even the dog doesn’t want anything to do with it. Too scratchy. The retro stripes skeins are not scratchy and have fantastic colors. So there is that.UPDATE: it does soften a lot after a bath in fabric softener. Hurray! Project saved.

A constant quality
Red Heart is a constant in yarn. I've items made from this brand for years, washed and well used. Not had many issues over the years with this yarn brand.

The color is nicer than the photos showed.
I haven't used it yet, it will be an afghan as a gift. The color is even more appealing than the photo showed. I am very pleased with the purchase.
