Sammy Spider's First Purim

I bought this book as one of this series. We love the books and often give them as gifts. Unfortunately, this came dirty. The others were fine.

We read our 28 month old son at least 3 books before bed every night (sometimes 5) ... to keep my husband and I from getting bored, I buy new books every month based on the season. I thought the Sammy series would be a fun addition. It wasn't; frankly, it was really dull. Maybe we expected to much. But this is supposed to be a book about Purim! I am not of the Jewish faith, but shouldn't a holiday about costumes, and smart women lead to a "fun" book.

This is my children's all time favorite book in the Sammy the Spider series. The story can be read again and again and your children will want more. A love the colors used in the illustrations. Would highly recommend the Sammy's Spider's First Purim.

This is an ok book

Sylvia tells the story in a very inviting way. The book is read over and over again.

Purim is to Jews as Halloween is to American kids as both require costurmes. BUT, Purim celebrates the saving of the Jews from desctruction by Queen Ester who pleads for her people before the king whose henchman, Haman, wants to destroy the Jews.

Just perfect for my grandchildren’s first sedar...such great graphics.

This provides a good explanation of the holiday. The graphics are wonderful: colorful, bright, large! Children love the story and adventures of Sammy Spider.
