Had issues with thicker flashing
I was up on the roof the other day trying to tack down some loose flashing. They claim to be self taping, but they would not penetrate the thicker flashing I was using. If I was vertical and could apply more force it would probably be ok. Hanging out over the edge of a roof I only had one hand at times and could not get them to penetrate the metal. My solution was to pound them a bit with a hammer to get through the metal then screw them in. That worked great and they really hold the metal in place.Just for a test I tried thinner flashing and they went through like butter. I am also happy to have the magnetic driver or I would have lost half of them.

Quality Roofing Screws
These are all around excellent screws. The gaskets are nice and fresh, they make a perfect waterproof seal. The points are sharp, making them super easy to start and drive in. Perfect for attaching metal roofing to wood.I used these a few months ago for a pump house. The finish has held up just fine to UV and weather exposure. No signs of rust anywhere. The included nut driver is labeled as 8mm, but a 5/16-inch nut driver also fits perfectly.

Sturdy for the farm!
Here on the farm there are a lot of repairs to be made. A lot of the old metal roofs had to be replaced as they were rusting. New metal roofs add a lot of value to your Homestead and plus the durability and longevity of a metal roof is great to have upon that, you need good screws. These screw was meant for sheet metal roofs and the coating is also great for weather proofing. You want to make sure that you get a quality screw or they will rust around there and you will have streaks running down your beautiful new metal roof. These screws are self tapping with a nice point to them, and with a high-speed drill, not a high-powered drill, just a high-speed hammer drill, they will penetrate and sink in nicely. The rubber washers that are already on each screw, is a benefit to prevent leaking and plus also when it's taking down with t. The drill it will not strip out in the wood underneath. I ordered the one inch screws as I was placing them into ASB board and sometimes I know I would hit a stud but a lot of the times, it was just OSB board. I did not need the overly long your screw but if you were going into a 2 X 4, then about an inch and a 1/2 roofing screw would be used. I do like the finish on this as it is a matt metal weathered look and it is not shiny, so it matches the corrugated steel that I applied onto the roofs here on the farm.

Water tight fit
I love this type of screw for securing corrugated metal or poly roofing. I have used and have not had any issues with leakage. The rubber gaskets definitely work. The Allkeen also come with a socket that fits screws and makes for easy attachment. Would not consider building a greenhouse, metal shed, etc without these

Metal Roofing Screws - Great features
This product seems to be everything it really claims to be. It says "anti-corrosion" coating, which really could be anything, and mean anything, but they appear to me to be electro-galvanized. I like that they include a magnetic hex driver bit with the set. I also like that the washers don't have any of the "coating" on them (for a multitude of reasons). I like the high-low threads, making them ideal for metal and wood combinations; ideal for the metal roofing application. I also like that they are self taping. At a quantity of 60, this is not nearly enough to tackle a full roof project, nor an addition, but it is enough for a small project, small shed or dog house maybe, that sort of thing.
