Not for saltwater
Purchased this reel a year ago and that is about as long as it lasted. It is a very good reel, but I would say it is not for saltwater. I take good care of my equipment including desalting, rinsing, and oiling between uses. This outing, the reel became difficult to reel in and then final froze in the middle of a Cobia fight. Had to pull the line by hand to get the fish to the boat. If I had neglected the reel, not cleaning and maintenance the reel, then it would be on me. But that is not the case. Great reel for a year, fished it a dozen times, but not made for saltwater.

Very smooth and drag gets tight fast I had some issues with the anti reverse switch when fighting a giant stingray for 2 hours it was slipping everyone and a while I reached out to customer support and they are sending me a brand new one on the house great people over there definitely recommend this product

Revised review please read,
I had the problems with the reel and discuss the issue with Dr. fish, They have corrected the issues and sent me a new reel with the fixed reel cap. Great Customer serviceMy Reel Came Left Handed, There is no manual or diagram of the reel. I asked three times how to switch to right hand with three difference answers. If you want to make this a right hand reel you need to remove a plastic cap which is wedged in the right side for the reel cap nut to screw into. Problem is you can't get it out without breaking it because its light plastic and wedged in tight or the chance of running reel. So if your left handed your good, Right hand avoid.

Worth your money
Strong durable, heavy duty and can bring in some big fish with no problem. Best spinning reel I ever bought would buy it over and over again.

Worthless!
I got 2 of these reels on a “damaged box” understanding, wrong! They were used and then damaged! And returned. A year later i discovered it since they sat on the shelf since i didn’t make the trip to the ocean to fish, they are rusted, digging sand out of them, I live in Indiana no sand around, so more I’m spending time trying to get rid of the rust and drag to start working! Don’t buy open box reels!
