Bought these to protect our great granddaughters little fingers from the patio doors which slide very easy and she had learn that the move? So to make sure she remains safe and keep her fingers I place one of these in the bottom track, tighten it up and it stays firm and leaves a gap of an inch or more so she’s safe, the patio doors are internal as we had a conservatory fitted so the patio doors are between the house and conservatory, these are excellent and are serving us well, so can’t speak more highly of them,

Let’s me have the door open slightly without the cat getting out.Easy to use and install and secure as the cat cannot make it budge

These are of a very basic construction but they are functional and help provide a stop gap, however, in my opinion, on their own, they would not be sufficient to prevent the door being forced. If I had sensibly designed patio door I could fit a much more effective security device, but I don't and not wanting to change the doors has led me to become more resourceful, hence my purchase of these. If drilling your doors is not easy then jamming the door may be your next best solution and these will help with that. In fairness this product does appear to be effective, but it does put stress on the sliding rail, which is not ideal if the rail is plastic like mine. I have applied considerable force to test it and it held, which is good.

We bought these to take to Spain for the patio doors in the apartment . They were useless and a waste of time . Poorly fitting no grip at all just useless!!!

Fiddly and complicated. Stand on stool, Need to hold lock with one hand key with another. Not sure whether to turn left or right.. but locks it.

Just moved into a new home. With patio doors. Got theses so we can double protect our home with extra locks. Also very handy as can have the door open a few inches and lock the bracket and the door can't be opened any more. So no one people or cats can get in or our dog out.
