I purchased the blink mini compact indoor plug-in cam. how can i continue using it without purchasing a cloud subscription plan?

My USB drive from Blink was working great. Then on December 21st is just stopped working and states it is now incompatible with my Module 2 and I need to purchase a plan to continue getting videos. I am very unhappy. This is a very unethical way to get people to buy their camera's. They give you options, but take the one away to try to force you to buy a plan.

Any flash drive will work? It’s not proprietary is it?

You are able to use a USB flash drive up to 256GB with the sync module 2, flash drive can be 2.0 or 3.0 (hard drives, SD cards, etc. will not be compatible).

will i have more storage space in the cloud since this would hold its own storage and leave more room in the cloud for the other cameras?

You are able to use both forms of storage. The Blink cloud storage subscription provides 60-day unlimited cloud storage. Local Storage with the Sync Module 2 is only compatible with Blink Outdoor, Indoor (gen 2), and Mini cameras. You are able to use a USB flash drive up to 256GB with the sync module 2.

Can you hear live audio?

The Blink cameras record audio as well as video on the motion clips, you are also able to access the two-way audio on the Blink cameras within the Live View mode of the camera within the APP on your mobile device.

Plugged right into Sync Module and worked immediately

I know I could have just used a normal USB drive for local storage with the Blink Sync Module but got this at a good price and just wanted plug and play capability. Would recommend.

Better than paying a monthly fee for using the cloud storage

I didn’t want to pay the monthly cloud storage service for my blink doorbell videos, so a friend of mine suggested this Blink USB flash drive to work with the Blink Sync Module. So far it has been working out great. All of my doorbell videos have been stored in the “local storage” file free of charge instead of Blink’s “cloud storage” file in the app. Super easy to use.

You don’t need a blink subscription people! Just put this in the sync module 2, set your system to use local storage and boom! Works great!

Not compatible for sync module 2 - Fixed

Purchased this awhile back and never got it to work. It's for sync module 2 but it said the usb drive is not compatible or I got a bad one.Update: Working after reformatting it.
