I think these are great! I am sure fresh fried is best of all but for a prefab option, these are delightful. Food is subjective so what I like, you may not.It is sweet, chewy, easy on teeth, and has a good mouth feel. Initial bite seems bland, then subsequent bits have flavor and sweetness. Not to mix regions, but the flavor and texture of this Yakgwa remind me of Sachima, a Chinese sweet snack that is similar in ingredients, cooking technique, and resulting flavor and mouth feel. The difference is that this Korean honey biscuit is one piece and compressed, whereas Sachima is little pieces of dough dropped together that forms a slightly more airy end result. Nearly always shaped in bars like you would see a rice scrispy treat. Even same presentation on tongue: first bite is bland, and more oily, then it follows with flavor and texture.What I like about this particular brand of product is that it is two trays of cookies, 8 each, and individually wrapped. I would absolutely consider this again.And no, there is no English on this Korean product. Take your phone, use a translate app if you need to know.

I purchased these style cookies from 2 different sellers here on Amazon. They look and smell exactly the same. The expiration date on these was June 2023. However, the other seller's cookies were semi-soft. Pliable enough that I could bend them and break them in pieces. Although this seller's cookies were rock solid hard, like a hockey puck hard. Those two packages are going to be treats for my dogs, because they are simply inedible. Plus, since I purchased from someone else, I know now they shouldn't be that hard.

These are so yummy. I've already repurchased. They completely deliver the texture/mouth feel AND they have the perfect amount of subtle sweetness.Each serving is individually wrapped.

Just ordered some from Amazon they arrived soft and chewy + tasty like how I tried them went I went to Seoul KR for a vacation last year. Taste nearly the same. No complaints here.

I wanted to taste those cookies that were shown on the show and I wasn’t disappointed they weren’t too sweet. They were drenched and Honey they were just perfect with tea.

Here’s my initial review with just one star: “The yakgwa I know is chewy and tasty. This product I received is as hard as rock. It should not have been sold as food given it’s completely inedible. I should have believed several reviews mentioning it was hard. Look at all positive reviews and they were from months ago. New reviews from Dec 2022 all negative. Something’s wrong in the recent batch of products. Seller should provide refund for the extremely bad yakgwa.”But my kids found that if you microwave the yakgwa for 15 - 20 seconds, it became soft and edible. They actually like the yakgwa! I changed the star rating to 3 given that it shouldn’t need microwave before enjoying but once you do, it is enjoyable.

I bought these because they were the favorite snack of a character in a novel that I am reading. They fell extremely short of any expectations. Tasted like uncooked dried pieces of dough shaped into cookies. I'm going to throw them all into the oven to see if that improve the taste and texture.

I absolutely LOVE the traditional Korean cookie and when I found these on Amazon, I had to give it a try. They are DELICIOUS! and I am going to order directly from this company in the future, rather than looking for them at the H-Mart, which NEVER haves them where I live!
