Tested Well
Just went down and tested the it out.Pretty accurate and easy to operate in the water. Haven't eaten anything from it yet, but seems like a good option for fresh water lakes.

Great starter gun
I wanted to do a product review of this because I've looked at many reviews exclaiming simply "Great Gun" "Good use" "Needs improvement" etc. I purchased the 65cm version of the SEAC Sting Speargun. Being a beginner of spearfishing I really liked this gun. However I returned it. The gun is not actually 65cm in total nor are any other versions the length described in the heading. Maybe look at the fine print in product dimensions. 65cm works at to be about 25.5" which is what i thought overall the gun would be but it was at least 33". The measurement is taken of the aluminum barrel (so this excludes the front and rear stock). Being a beginner I was unaware of this and returned it to get a smaller size because this is too big for me. I understand that bigger gun means bigger fish but to be honest I couldn't even pull the bands back far enough to hook to the notched shaft. I'm a weakling I suppose or maybe the bands just need to get some flex in them. I know you aren't supposed to do this outside of the water but I don't exactly have a pool or nearby lake within range. I felt like the wishbone and bands were going to snap if I really applied pressure to get it locked in place. Full disclosure I didn't even get to fire the thing otherwise I would go into distance in detail. I'll go to say that I am inexperienced so maybe the bands are supposed to be tight, etc. but I believe i need a slightly smaller gun for my experience. Again it's all based on personal preference and what size fish you intend on hunting.Overall the construction of the Speargun is very good. I didn't know what to expect when buying this and was not disappointed in the quality of the gun. The safety mechanism is plastic ( a plastic switch at the top of the gun handle)Although I haven't had much experience with spearguns and their shafts; the one included was pretty good. 7mm i believe and the spear tip is Haitian( If I'm saying that wrong i apologize) but it is unlike the double winged tip which has two "wings" on the tip rather than one, which is included with this gun.The shaft locked in place very well. I banged it around a bit to see if it would fall out and it did not, however this doesn't mean it would do the same if the bands were connected to it. Also I would like to mention that the grip was very nice to use with either hand. Overall, I believe this to be a good gun and for the price range (at this time in March 2017 I purchased this 65cm speargun for about $90) for a beginner like myself it worked out very well. The only reason for 4 stars is because of the fact it took about a week to get to me ( I stopped using prime) so I was disappointed the size wasn't what I expected. However, look around on Amazon or other sites because prices always fluctuate. Other sellers sell this same speargun type and size for significantly less (about $20 cheaper, hence why i say price is decent) I definitely recommend this gun to others looking to get into spearfishing.

Defective product; "warranty" does not fix gun, and ineffective customer service
During my second time using this speargun, the wishbone snapped off from the band. This includes not only the plastic caps but the metal itself. I informed this to Seac/DipNDive (the reseller here on Amazon who fulfilled the purchase), and explicitly mentioned that even after screwing the cap back on, upon shooting the gun again, the wishbone fell out easily. The whole band/wishbone mechanism needed to be replaced.I was told to ship my defective gun to their office in New York. Since a month had already passed, the shipping cost alone costed $58. A week later, I received the gun back and much to my disappointment, all they did was screw the cap back on (without replacing the rubber band or attaching the wishbone's metal to the band or replacing the band/wishbone mechanism), which I had explicitly mentioned I had already tried and would not a solution because the wishbone would snap off again the next time the gun was shot. All in all, I give this gun and reseller a 1-star review for:1) Product easy to be broken (even before breaking, there were a couple times when the firing mechanism would get stuck)2) "Warranty" is basically void and they will not properly repair your gun if it breaks3) Waste of time and money; as the shipping cost to send this gun in for "repair" ($58) was half the cost of the gun. The whole process took around 3 weeks. The whole process took around 3 weeks. During this time, I was borrowing a friend's JBL speargun. Even though it's more expensive, I have not yet found any fault with its firing mechanism and would be purchasing a new JBL gun to replace this one. I had originally purchased this Seac gun because it was the cheapest option, but I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" is true.

Great item, lousy shipping reliability
Well heres the deal and why I dinged this item two stars. I got the package today and was very excited about the prospect of bagging a few fish this weekend with friends. However, my plans might now be tanked due to the fact that this item showed up with out the spear tip (another $20 purchase). Wouldnt normally be a big deal, but it seems there is no way to rectify the issue without returning the whole item when all I want is a replacement tip, and to top it off I cant just go buy one because noone sells them locally. Great item though, shoots straight and true with three knocks for different ammounts of power behind your shot, just very disappointed in the fact that I may not get to use it as soon as I had intended.

Decent gun
Went out an shot a 10 ibs. walleye on the first try. Very impressive gun for the money. Two thoughts for modifying it. One, get a band to maintain tension on the rope, two either clamp or melt plastic on the ropes connection to the shaft. Three, be prepared to unscrew the tip to get the shaft out of the bigger fish.

Aquaman ain't got nothin' on this!
Great inexpensive spear gun! I've only used mine a few times but I've had great success with it! You have to pull pretty hard to reload it, but when you're amped up while on your fish-murdering spree it's usually not a problem.
