Absolute game changer for a strong, lunging dog!
Okay, so I’ve only owned it an hour, but already I’m in love with this setup! I have a 27kg flattie and she’s always pulled like a train, until she sees a squirrel at which point she prefers the stop-and-jerk forward tactic that practically wrenches your arm out the socket while breaking your hand simultaneously. After yet another walk yesterday spoiled by finger crush injuries (wrapping her lead round my hand) I decided enough was enough and ordered this. Collected it an hour ago and set off on its ultimate test - squirrel woods. It was brilliant. She started off straining the lead to full stretch, but anchored to my ample waist instead of my hand it was much more comfortable. As we walked on, it was like the recoil of the springiness of the lead was ‘correcting’ her, and by half way through the walk it was back in its relaxed state again, allowing her to tug a little when needed for sniffing purposes but not cause disruption. As for the squirrel test? Passed with flying colours. She still strained, but didn’t lurch and jerk, and I never got enraged once lol.The two hand holds at either end are an excellent addition that made me choose this over other products, particularly the one near the collar for close control when at roadsides / passing other dogs that don’t appreciate my dogs over-enthusiastic offers of friendship. Another feature setting it apart is the two D rings which you join together with the leads clip, meaning the belt is secured by the buckle and the D-rings, extra peace of mind when you’re dealing with a strong doggo. Little pouch on the belt very handy for poo bags, phone and treats too. Very impressed, and can’t wait to go on more walks now!

Really good
Love this ! I reviewed many and this was the best reviewed. It is very sturdy with good strong metal clips. I got it because I had my Frenchie on a 50kg extended lead and I kept dropping her when she would run on the extension. She’s only 11kg but she is strong .On this lead she walks better as the tension in the lead doesn’t allow her to pull . Even when she has ran when she sees a dog she can’t go anywhere . It pulls you slightly but it is manageable. I’m 8.7 stone and 5”4 this lead goes on the tightest on my waist and fit comfortably with a coat or without a coat. It extends to be really big too. No trouble with the clasps . The lead has a little handle on it so you can pull them back if need be. Not sure how the tension lead would work with a bigger dog , you know your own dogs strength but you could always use your own lead . The bag on the waist is a bit flimsy but handy for poo bags an keys . You could get a phone in there but it’s hard getting it back in and out . There are two separate zipped up bags on the waist belt .Really glad I bought this I will not be going back to a normal lead . I walk my whippet as well and it’s much easier just holding the one dog . The lead that comes with it is a decent length. Not sure how people running are tripping as you can turn the waist belt to have the lead on the side of your body

Strong & good storage pockets
Sturdy construction with 2 handy pockets in the belt. It’s quite a bit heavier than other running leads. Good secure fastenings & elasticated to prevent strain on dog. Comes in storage bag.

The best one I have had.Very secure.
A very sturdy, robust and comfortable item.Withstands sudden lurches of a very strong dog.Doesn't slide down and end up round ankles. Not sure the stated dimensions are accurate but it works for me.The previous model I had would never stay tight and she broke the attachment at both ends when she lurched after a sheep so this one is much better. The lead is perfect for stretchiness.

Really well-made bit of kit that was worth the extra money.
I bought a cheaper one of these to go running with my Spandor and it broke because the plastic buckle took the bulk of the force when he pulled. I was attracted to this one as the load is shared by two D-rings on either side of the buckle. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I feel much more confident that it isn't going to break mid-run. The lead has a bungee at its core, giving the dog much more progressive feedback than the cheaper one which tended to snap suddenly at full extension. The pockets on the belt aren't going to take a jumper or packed lunch but they are just big enough to fit his ball, some treated and a stock of poop bags. It's nice not having to wear a coat just for the pockets now the weather is getting warmer. My only minor gripe on the comfort side of things, and the reason I marked it down a star, is that if the D-Rings come around to my side they're a little hard on my hip bone when I have thinner clothing on. You can manage that by rotating the belt though. Otherwise, a great product which feels like it will last for many adventures to come.

Looks good but not great quality
Looks good and keeps your hands free. The only down side was the elastic broke so didn't reduce the force of my dog pulling
