Time saver!
The fist one i bought had a crack in the white plastic by the metal piece. It was quickly and easily replace with a perfect one! I love it! I shred my own cheeses and can slice veggies and potatoes. Time saver.

Money saver
I bought this for my wife. We buy the giant blocks of cheese from Costco to grate ourselves now. Same price as the store. BUT without the waxy preservative taste.

Nice attachments
I wanted to try my hand at making home-made sausages so I could be certain what they contained. It takes a little more muscle to make the meat go into the grinder than I imagined, but the end results were quite enjoyable. I look forward to experimenting with my recipes until I find the perfect blend of meats, spices, and secret ingredients.I did not have any issues with metal grinding into the meat as some other reviewers posted. The grinder seems to work as it should. The shredder/slicer is simple to use. It cut a pan full of potatoes for au gratin in seconds. I am looking forward to making a carrot cake with the shredder. All in all, this was a good attachment to go with my Kitchen Aid Mixer.

LOVE IT
I love all of Kitchen Aid Attachments. This one was purchased as a gift for a friend. She was very pleased to receive this and I was pleased that it was such a low price with the same great quality. As with any product it only last when you take care of it. I have this set and it has lasted for 8 years strong. FYI; this is set two (Pack 2) not two grinders in the set. The wording and the picture threw me off so I was expecting two grinders to come in the set. The only thing you receive two of is the sausage stuffer and that's because when you purchase this item alone there are two in the package. Other than that I personally felt that this was great.

Not really 4 slicer / shredder blades but otherwise solid.
Initial Review of the slicers { thick, thin, fine, coarse }...Fine... I used a block of cheddar to test the fine shredder and it worked as expected producing finely grated cheese producing small shreds great for tacos or combining cheese with any other ingredient. This shredder has a "1" stamped on the bottom.Coarse.... I used a potato to test this one and it produced long shreds of potato which would be great for hash browns. If you like your cheese shredded more coarsely this would work great as well. This shredder has a "2" stamped on the bottom.Thick & Thin.... I used a potato to test these slicers and couldn't tell a visibly material difference in the thickness between the two. The two slicers have "4"(thin) and "6"(thick) stamped on the bottom for identification. Being the geek I am I used a micrometer to measure the width of the cutting space and on average found there was ~ .012" (that's 12 thousands of an inch) difference between thick and thin; for reference a dime is .050" (fifty thousandths of an inch) thick which means the difference between thick and thin is 1/4 the thickness of a dime. They both appear to be great for making thin potato chips but not thick enough for scalloped potatoes as the user guide indicates. IMO there's no difference between the thick and thin slicers.Overall though I'm happy with what I consider to be 3 rotor slicer/shredder blades; will update when I have a chance to test out the meat grinders

KitchenAid Rocks!
My mother gave me a KitchenAid mixer when I got married and she had one and so do my daughters. KitchenAid products are built to last and these tools do a great job. There is a rotary slicer/shredder (that slices and shreds in 2 sizes), a meat grinder (which I have used to grind wonton filling with pork and shrimp), a sausage stuffer and a strainer (for removing skin and seeds from cooked food). I got this set for a gift but I already know it will work well since I have one already. Great quality products!

Works great so far.... UPDATE!! Please READ
UPDATE: 8/2024 - 7 years after buying this attachment pack the plastic piece (shredder portion) at the base that's goes into the mixer cracked/split. I honestly don't know when this happened as I just went to pull it out and use it (by accident as I had picked up an aftermarket shredder that I prefer). I honestly was never super thrilled after multiple uses with the metal for the shredding pieces as they became... warped? Sorta split? Bent outta shape? they were cheap and I'd have to hammer them back flat. I looked over the other portion that's the grinder attachment and it seems okay - which I do use as I like to buy the big pork loin at a certain warehouse grocery place and make a pork spread that my husband loves (and I do to after I tried it! LMAO) as it's much cheaper to grind my own pork than buy it from the grocery store.I would give this 2-1/2* as the grinder attachment is still doing good - though I do have another one bookmarked that's metal instead of partially plastic to get in the future.*****************I am very happy so far with this attachment pack for my 4.5 qt KitchenAid stand mixer. I've used the fine shredding... cup, I guess is the proper word, multiple times to shred the Cabot extra sharp cheddar cheese that we buy in big blocks at Sam's Club (great tasting cheese unlike a lot of cheeses nowadays that have no flavor). Yes, some of the cheese gets caught up between the cup and the plastic but considering I was using my large food processor to shred the cheese before - and had big hunks of it left over (which still, not a big deal as it gave me something to munch on), this is a GREAT improvement. I honestly haven't used the slicer/shredder pieces for anything else yet. Though I do plan on picking up a pepperoni stick soon and using part of a block of that cheese to make munchies to snack on.Now, I've used the meat grinder multiple times to grind up meat. Haven't used the tubes to stuff casings and make sausages yet, but that will come in the future, I'm sure. I cut the meat (used pork loin) up into 3" x 1" strips basically then semi-freeze the meat before working it through the grinder. Sometimes I have to use the pusher to get the 'worm' to grab the meat and take it down but quite a few times the worm grabbed it and work it down to the grinding portion on it's own. Just work it at a slow, steady pace and I had no problems with it. Probably have ground up roughly 10 pounds or meat through it give or take. I probably wouldn't grind more than 5 lb's at a time as the machine does get warm (unless you have a more powerful machine than mine - but mine was a gift so I'm not complaining). All in all this attachment pack is a great addition to the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and fits on all of them, so that's a major plus!! We'll see how the plastic holds up over time - really wish the whole units would have been made of metal but for $80 what do you expect? I do wish they'd offer a more solid made one I'd probably be willing to spend the money on a metal/cast iron/whatever one!
