For those that the heating system is not up to par for whatever reason, I recommend these strongly. Number one, it uses a quartz crystal across the top or the smaller one on the bottom. Quartz crystal uses less electricity. It has two settings. The first setting is when the room is slightly cool and you just want to just slightly warm it up a little bit to take that chill out. If the room is cold you can put it on high and it will heat up the room and it has a thermostat. The large one is really great for the living room and the small one is great for the bedroom. The small one is really nice because it has a thermostat that's very easy to use as opposed to the larger one. Not to say that the larger one doesn't have it it does but the larger one has control remote to control what setting you want. The smaller one has a door that you open on the bottom that has the settings and then it has the to light it up without heat, or it has the first setting which is a mile heat. The second one is a stronger wind which will heat up the room incredibly. And then of course you can set the thermostat so that if it gets too warm it'll turn off. While keeping independently the fire place and the log going which is separate from the heating system. Whoever designed this I must say was a genius. I have used space heaters before but because I have a fireplace mantle this one fits perfectly. And it's beautiful. It does not use that much electricity because of its quartz heating system. So I recommended and I guarantee you will enjoy it

This is a solid product, looks good, and customer service is outstanding. The unit is small but strong and warms our master bedroom well. It looks quite good too and due to it being in the smaller size it looks quite good in the room without being overwhelming. Unfortunately the on/off button stopped working just a couple of days after the Amazon return window. I contacted the unit’s customer support, received a reply within hours, and within 3 days I had a new unit delivered. It works great. Strongly recommended.

Moved by my sons to Texas from San Diego recently. Will probably need it come winter!

The body of this fireplace is NOT alloy steel or metal. It is cheap plastic. The heater on the bottom is the only part that is made from metal. False advertising it should not be indicated on the page that it is made from steel, because it is not made from steel.

I love this heater! Size and output is perfect! I got it for my plant room where I have my recliner for personal quite time and the flame looks great, the heat is great, and it is exactly what I was looking for. I keep it on the lower settings for the room size, 10 x10. I would buy it again. When everyone has gone to bed,I go sit and read with only the heat and flames on. Perfect ambience.

Love this heater. Heats really fast and hot

I have a 30 by 17 foot attic bedroom/living area. We have many electronics and three space heaters. We needed something that could sit next to a couch by the tv to keep that small area warm on cold days. This is perfect for that space. On the 1000W setting, it adds just enough heat to make that area comfortable, and we don't have to worry about tripping the breaker by running multiple electronics or heaters at once.The flames don't look as impressive as the popular and more expensive Duraflame heater, but they still look nice and give a comforting feeling. We appreciate the low volume-we don't have to turn the tv up to a loud volume to be able to hear.
