I modified the pulleys . I put two waterproof seals on either side of the bearing race filled with grease.with O rings seals .Using 6mm traditional wax cotton linen line. Close the gap between the pulley to stop the cord slipping down the side.

Used these to repair a sliding workshop door.Removed the supplied brackets and used the wheels and bolts to replace very old, worn wheels. The door now slides with ease.

These are typical of the gym pulleys that are included in multisystems and cheap full body workout machines, and generally they work. These are no exception, and they also come with the same level of quality in the bearings and the metal hook.Overall I'm extremely happy with how they function, but you will need to remember that you have to provide your own carabiner and hanging equipment, because there's nothing else supplied with these.They're well packaged in simple bubble bags, and each one has a 160 kg load capacity as per the description.These are much better than my small pulleys, in the sense that they are bigger, and provide a smoother resistance profile, so on the negative, I am getting very little resistance in the pulley and I actually have to work. It doesn't just hold its own position comfortably. The only reason this is not five star is because there is a sharp edge of the bolt at the top exposed to the area of the pulley that the rope will sit in, and this rope could easily snag it loose, and it could shred metal cable cables too. They should have made it a little bit longer, to provide more space between the pulley and the metal rod. Or at least provide a metal surface underneath so that it can't touch. Nothing that the welder can't fix, but I can't fix this.

Really heavy duty therefore good value.

I don't know much about pulleys, but these look like they'll do the job for me. I want them to hold up a power cord for a light fitting, so I won't be testing out their load baring capabilities. However, they seem pretty tough. The hooks and the brackets are made from metal, while the wheel is made from a tough plastic material (the listing says it is made from 'solid nylon'). The wheel does move smoothly and silently. You get two in the pack, so that currently works out at about £8 each, which seems reasonable.
