Read this before you do anything
This product seems like it is just amazing, it can be moved around and so on, many other engravers cannot be set in a position where you could E.G burn a mosaic round a six foot table, this really appealed to me, but with little imformation from the seller I looked online, I saw that the 1500 me ( mili watt ) lazer apparently engraved a picture with ease an will allow for colour difference ( HOW THE HELL DOES IT DO THAT, SO I BOUGHT IT TO SEE)let me tell you what this machine does and does not doIT DOES:switch onhas a laserit's software works of a fasionlets you burn your own picturesif you look at my pictures above what you are looking at is 6 hours worth of printing and the end resultIT DOES NOTengrave metal or any reflective or transparent surfacetake minutes to produce anything, infact it may take 6 to 14 hours before it can even start printing, this is why the manual tells you to select an object from "their menu" let us be honest if they told you it was Sh** no one would buy it.does not protect you AT ALL from the laser with its green glass, lasers use collective light on police guns received back to determine your speed, and those lasers don't cut anything, this tool supposedly cuts, so the collective light is not harmful even though you are in close proximity of it.You cannot adjust the laser focus for several reasons but I will choose the most apparent 21. you are not supposed to look at the laser apart from the green glass2. you can't visually see the pin point neither looking through the green glass nor around the side, this is an extremely dangerous item I will be kind and say, the last pic was an end result of 9 hours workI am contacting the Trading standards tomorrow to have this product banned from sale

Works Great
I was nervous about buying this after seeing a previous review images. Now unless they had a totally duff unit I can only assume they didnt know how to use it. Ive since made hundreds of small and large engravings. ive done line outlines, photos and complex graphics.Apparently its "hard" to import your own images? Once again.. WUT? Its EASY AS PIE! You make an image and drag and drop it into the program. It has a few options, it can do hard black and white or something akin to "dithering" which is how old dot matrix printers used to produce shading (much like a black and white newspaper image).Focusing the laser... What is hard about it? the filter panel on the front makes the dot safe to look at, you simple turn the focuser until the dot is as fine a point as possible. Its 1005 safe to look at through the filter. Frankly though the dot was in near perfect focus on arrival. I adjusted it slightly and now i tend to simply "raise" the etcher up if i want to etch something thicker, saves time recalibrating.Love this thing. If anyone is really having difficulty post a question and I will happily answer.

Great little bit of kit
Well I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about buying one of these, given the sparse, and mostly negative reviews, but I bit the bullet and ordered one, immediately finding something a little more suited to my application. Unfortunately I was too late to cancel, so had made my mind up to return it upon delivery, but when it did arrive, the Engineer inside of me was curious, and I decided to give it a go.............and I'm very glad I did. Ok, so the software is pretty basic, but ultimately simple to use and effective. I was soon engraving sample pieces of wood with all sorts of designs, burning photos onto plywood, etc, and as an illustration, a 40mm x 40mm piece of plywood, with a small grayscale photo took around 30 minutes. The build quality is fine, the engraving quality is great. In all, if you're looking for a quick and easy small scale laser engraver, it's well worth it. As a result, I'm no longer going to be returning this unit, I will just have two engravers to play with! :-)

Dont buy as edited version
I have a few laser machines, from neje and kkmoon and a cnc. This was the same spec as the kkmoon but it has a fan with the laser i bought it for that very reason. But the laser never even worked. I will be buying the lower spec kkmoon machine as soon as i get my refund. Stay away from this product.

no good
worked a handful of times then the computer just did not even recognise it, even bought a new pc as I needed one anyway and it still is not recognised so it is heading for the bin as there does not seem to be any help anywhere on the internet for it
