This is a very robust leather sheath. The leather is of a good thickness and nicely finished. Edges are burnished black and the body of the sheath is true to the pictures provided by the vendor. There is no retaining strap at the handle (as pictured) so retention relies on the handle thickness appropriate for the sheath. I am currently carrying a Gerber Moment that has a 4 inch blade with a 5 inch handle with rubber scales. The mouth of the sheath grips the handle well and retention is adequate. The Ottoza sheath is well constructed and an excellent value in my opinion.

It is a beautifully made leather piece with good stitching. Did not fit what I wanted to use it for, but will keep it until I come across something I can use it with.

Wow, just wow. This is a beautiful sheath! I bought it to horizontal/scout carry AND it also has an option to vertical carry it. Fits my Benchmade Mel Pardue knife perfectly (~ 4.5'" blade). I will be buying more from this seller if they have the size sheath I need. Don't hesitate, well worth the money IMHO.

The problem with this knife sheath is the knife does not fit tight and will fall out to fix this problem add one more little Stitch to the knife opening and it's perfect that's my only complaint

This is a beautiful leather sheath. Insure your knife will fit and it will last as long as your knife. I've looked for various other sized for my other fixed blade knives. If it fits your knife don't hesitate to buy, you will be pleased.

I would give it 4 stars as it appears to be well sewn and not bad leather considering it's no doubt Chinese leather. Three stars is all I can do since mine arrived obviously used and removed. Returning is a hassle so I'll just keep it but dand this isn't ebay...is it?

Very nice knife sheath for the price point. I was hoping for a little more thickness when I ordered this based of other reviews as this is thinner than I was wanting. For the price point it is thicker than others I have ordered as this one is by no means paper thin. The color is more of a red brown for the item I revived. Seems like there are a few mixed reviews on here that have stated color was more light brown than reddish brown as the photo shows. My did match the photo exactly. I plan on changing the color of this sheath so I am good with the overall color for the time being.

Bought for holding a CIMA-1 knife. Knife fits well (4 in. x 11/4 in. blade. Seems secure as a vertical rt. Hand carry, as it covers slightly over 2 inches of the scales. I would not recommend it for horizonal carry for this knife without some modification. Appears well constructed. Lacks a drain hole.

Nice heavy duty, heavy leather

It was a bit large for the knife I had since it was at the edge of the smaller dimensions listed. knife fit fully but slightly loose at the mouth of the sheath. I added a rivet in the mouth area to tighten the fit. Fits perfectly now and holds the knife securely.

Purchased this sheath to replace the sheath that came with the Joker Nessmuk knife. It wa an excellent sheath but another plan for it. The sheath quality is excellent and it fir the knife like a glove.

I liked the sabard a lot. good leather and fit my knife well
