Max Factor put the puff back in! We need it!
I received new old stock that still has the applicator sponge in it. I ordered two more and am hoping this is still the case. If you look at the Max Factor web page you can see that they took it out of newer compacts and it's upsetting the women that have trusted this powder for many decades. They have also made it harder to remove the pan from the container. Basically, they are pissing off every possible customer. Young people don't want the fragrance and want to be able to remove the pan to put it in a Zpalette. Older customers want to remove the pan and put it in their reusable, lovely, compact. And they want a fresh sponge! Me? Who am I? I'd use this powder if it didn't have a scent, because it's really good. It's got enough oils in it that it absolutely functions as a powder foundation. It was always marketed that way. The color range leaves much to be desired, but if you're fair and the right shade of pasty it will serve you. It's actually the best powder I've found for me as a light skinned person. It's almost creamy, and getting a shade that looks too dark finally blends in with my skin instead of making me look powdery. I'm in my 40s but I have a reusable compact. It seems like this should be a popular option with all of us that care about the environment, so why Max Factor isn't using this as an opportunity to promote their product, I don't know. If they think we won't buy it because it has mineral oil in it, well fine. Use a different oil. (Mineral oil is safe and good, but people are afraid.) Anyway, get it while you can I guess because Max Factor is out to ruin this excellent product. They have a treasure they are squandering, and they are making loads of older women sad while they do it. Shame on them.

Lovely powder
Lovely powder. I use it to set foundation so can't speak to it as a powder foundation. I took the time to check out as many swatches and images online before selecting the color and it works for me. I'm light with warm undertones. Soft velvety texture.
