Superior Quality Clamps
These clamps are a superior quality. All steel components and no plastic to be found. One great feature about these clamps are the tightening crank handles. Other clamp handles have a movable piece that slides up and down in order to gain clearance from a flat surface. The handles on these clamps have a clever design which allows the clamp handle to be fully rotated over a flat surface without hitting the handle on the surface and no need to move a little piece back and forth to gain clearance. It makes the job so quick and smooth.Because these clamps are not cheap plastic or weak flexible metal, you can really clamp wood together with strong pressure. As some reviews suggested, it could be possible to provide too much pressure, but use common sense. An amazing product and I would buy again without hesitation.

Good bar clamp
I've been happy with these bar clamps for a long time. They provide a tremendous amount of pressure and I use them all the time for gluing up boards. The I-Bar limits the amount of flex that you get making these much better than the pipe clamps that are available. It's nice to see they still use acme threads on these. In high school, Wilton made a competitor to this that I liked better but I haven't been able to find them back. They had a nicer roller handle and notches in the bar that would lock the back of the clamp in place. The castings are a little sloppy and have some rough edges. The orange paint seems to chip off pretty easily, but neither affect the functionality of these clamps. Overall, I'm happy with these and will continue buying them unless the Wilton's show back up. It is also nice that they continue to be American made.

Bought'm Again (Sucker)
These have been a standard for forty years in our shop and even though we wear them out in the end we keep coming back for more. Unfortunately 3 of the 6 we recently purchased have developed fractures in the head castings which we have never seen in the past. Perhaps they have moved production to China and are experiencing failure due to poor craftsmanship or sub-standard materials but whatever the reason these are no longer worth purchasing. We will need fill future orders with Bessey as these Jorgensen 7236 36 I-Bar Clamps failed in normal usage glueing up table tops and cannot be trusted. Also to mention that when we attempted to effect a return of these defective clamps neither the Amazon provider described as "stores123" who sold these to us nor the Ponytools.com who appear to be the distributors of the Jorgensen clamps were of any help in our efforts to replace the defective clamps. As a results it would appear that we have been sold defective merchendice and have no recourse other than never doing business with either of these companies in the future.

Jorgensen Bar Clamp
Strong and sturdy but the end is forged on an angle which has a tendency to make the piece you are clamping rise up instead of laying flat.

Great for glue racks
To quote the previous review "The be all end all bar clamp". I plan to use these in a glue rack. I don't expect any trouble! they're big and heavy and have that nice crank handle for max clamping force when desired. They are actually bigger than I expected, measuring 45" long but true to word, there is a max of 36" clamping room. I would say one thing. They came in four separate boxes. Really big ones! Could have easily fit half dozen in just one box. Just spent the last 20 minutes compressing all the cardboard and packing paper. Go Amazon!

Great clamps with lots of clamping power.
These clamps are heavy duty, they create a lot of pressure (great for hard maple glue ups, or any job where you need a lot of clamping power) and the bar is the most rigid of all clamps I know. Means, they bow very little even at maximum clamping pressure.

It gets the job done.
