Cute story about how a town temps the groundhog from his hole on Groundhog Day. Definitely reading for story time.

A fun story that was fun to read to classes I was working with as a substitute teacher the week of Groundhog Day. It was perfect for both Kindergarten and First Graders to whom I read it, I am sure it would work with Preschool age as well.Its a cute story with wonderful bright pictures. I could not be more thrilled with my purchase and the book will have a long term place in my classroom library as I work towards my teaching degree.

Last year, my two year old son got a book Sneezy the Snowman for Christmas. Now, months later, we still have to read that at least twice a week. Because of how good that book is, and how much my son loves it, I bought this book by the same author. The great quality of writing, as well as great illustrations, continue with this book.If your child likes to be read to, likes to look at the pictures and make up his own stories based on what he sees, then I highly recommend this book, as well as others by Maureen Wright.
