Q1: Can this wire be used for boat navigation lights?

A: Yes. This wire is suitable for many 12V 24V low-voltage LED boat lighting projects, including navigation lights, stern lights, courtesy lights, deck lights, cabin lights, and accent lights.

Q2: Is the red wire positive and the black wire negative?

A: Yes. The red wire is typically used for positive (+), and the black wire is typically used for negative (-). The red back color design helps make polarity easier to identify during DIY boat light installation.

Q3: What type of lights does this extension wire work with?

A: It works with many single-color 12V 12V LED lights, such as boat navigation lights, courtesy lights, stern lights, deck lights, cabin lights, step lights, RV lights, trailer lights, and single-color LED strip lights.

Q4: Is this wire flexible enough for tight boat spaces?

A: Yes. The flexible 22AWG 2-conductor design makes it easy to route around boat seats, consoles, storage compartments, cabins, under-gunwale areas, and other narrow spaces. It is a practical option for small low-voltage LED light installations.

Q5: Can I cut this wire to the length I need?

A: Yes. You can cut the wire. After cutting, strip the wire ends and connect red to positive (+) and black to negative (-). Always turn off the power before wiring and make sure all connections are properly insulated.

Good quality, arrived on a spool.

Would have worked great for my boat project, but it was recommended to use 12 marine gauge wire so I didn’t use it, but I did keep it to use for other projects. It also arrived on a spool not in a jumbled mess as shown. Will buy again.

usefull but very thin.

very thin wire. adequate for low current elecrical use. in a piche, can be used as speaker wire. strands of wire are metalic. crimp connectors would be a challenge to use duable by doubling the wire inside the connector. I use it for miscellaneos testing of lights or speakers. Perfect to solder on to LED strands as the title describes.

Light gauge wire

It's a very light wire, suitable for low ampere led courtesy lights. No secondary insulation. Looks ok for purpose I haven't used it yet. Not sure about gauge, looks like 20. Update. I hooked up a 12 volt Nilight spreader light with this wire and it works fine. The wire is flexible and unobtrusive and works better than expected.

Perfect for my bass boat of low voltage wiring

I bought this for my 1976 bumble bee bass boat. The gauge of wire is perfect for all my led lights Im running. It's versatile enough to weave through small, tight spaces. The outer coating is a lot better than most you will find on the market, making it strong enough to not tear when fishing it through fiberglass. I will be ordering more on my next boat build.,
