Don't buy this old model. It's crap!!!!
I spent money on this rubbish. As many have already mentioned. It's on pair to pair connection and rubbish range. After trying to connect it to my router I bricked it and it won't reset either. Useless steps are requires to reset it and after several tries it just did not work. After some research, I bough "epever-wifi-2.4g-rj45-a".With the help of the support team, it is now available in the cloud and I can monitor from any where.

Android app finally has gotten an update and this works on Android 12
I would be great if this could be used at the same time as the MT50 control panel, I have not yet found a way for this to be possible and need to disconnect one or the other, which can get tiresome.

It shows you how many amps and watts coming in and out
Only one criticism mounting holes are small but so is the unit

Very close to being "unfit for purpose"
The specs say the wifi communication distance is "up to 165ft". Well, that is strictly true, but my actual real-world experience is about 25ft in direct line-of-sight, and 12-15ft when going through a single 9" thick brick wall. It looks like I am going to have to buy a wifi extender to get a usable range from it.Next, the device is not designed to connect to your existing wifi network. Rather it is a wifi access point, that you must connect to (subject to the range limitations I mentioned above) from your smartphone. The wifi network it creates is unsecured - anyone can connect to it, and both view data and, somewhat more worryingly, change the charge parameters of your device. There's no documented way to password-protect the wifi network.Fortunately, however, if you search around you may find a couple of websites or youtube videos from people who've hacked the device. It turns out that, if you connect to it, there is a web configuration interface accessible by connecting to 11.11.11.254. The username and p-word are both "admin". Using this undocumented interface you can create a WPA-PSK/AES password for the wifi network. However *beware*...This undocumented web interface contains a bunch of settings (including, apparently, the ability to set it up as a wifi station, so it can connect to your own wifi network as a client device). However, it is possible to brick the device if you unwittingly choose the wrong settings. I, in fact, did this with the first device I received, but Amazon fortunately refunded me, allowing me to buy a replacement. The device has a "factory reset" microswitch (recessed behind a small hole in the case, so you press it with a paper-clip or similar). Which would be great, apart from the fact that it actually does nothing at all. It turns out that the manufacturer has a set of instructions for doing a factory reset that involve prising the case apart, shorting out the connection between one of the pins of the microcontroller and a surface-mount capacitor while simultaneously pressing the "reset" microswitch. Well, I was not comfortable trying this on the brand-new bricked device, so I returned it for a refund and bought a replacement. So if you buy one of these, note that the wifi range is terrible, and the access point is open, that you should be very careful which, if any, settings you change using the undocumented web interface (I would personally recommend only adding a wifi password and not toying with anything else) because of the potential to brick the device if you change something. Also, the company's Android monitoring software has the IP address 11.11.11.254 hard coded into it, so even if you were to get this to connect to your own wifi network without bricking it, forget using the android client to talk to it.It'll probably be nice when it's finished!
