No new ground in memorizing as a hobby or professional, but worth a buy
Not sure anyone can add anything new to this field since Harry LorayneBooks since him are more homage and variations(Practice, practice, practice is the secret sauce to get even close to the pros)However, even in everyday life the PEG system and ad hoc Memory Palaces are worth the time to develop! Thanks to Dellis, I discovered Lauren Tothero's memorizing techniqueI cannot make the Tothero System work, but the technique feels as if it should have potentialMemorizing a deck of cards is a cool exercise for short term memory; alas no real breakthrough techniqueAll in all, this book is worth a look-see, and a sure buy if this book is your first memory book

Wacky but effective ways to remember stuff.
I have already used the techniques in this book to memorize my credit card number, a list of the first 15 Presidents, and a list of the 10 most populous countries in the world. There are many tricks illustrated in this amusing book, and some seem less useful than others, but overall I think most readers will find something that works for them.

Comprehensive and worth every cent
I don't write many reviews but I had to for this book. It is a modern, easy-to-follow book that covers how to remember nearly everything. I am impressed by the writing and love the illustrations which makes it even easier and more fun to read. The only down side is that I wanted to hear more about the author - a 4 time memory champion - and his journey to success. He covers it briefly in the opening chapter but I would love to hear more stories of memory competitions and the life of a memory athlete. But if you're looking for a book that will give an overview of how to improve your memory in a lot of different areas, this is it!

Amazingly easy to follow
Nelson Dellis manages to take complicated memory techniques and apply them to everyday needs. Already working for me - found the car this weekend in the car park no problem!!

PAO and More
This covers a lot more techniques than some of the similar books. Rather than being entirely a "you can do it" book, it is also very much a state of the art "how to" book.

A great how-to book on memory methods
As someone who practices memory methods and has overcome the limitations of a really poor natural memory, I am familiar with a lot of books in this genre. This is one of the best. Nelson Dellis has produced a really lively book to read with totally practical explanations and examples. This book is fun and incredibly useful!

Inspiring
Dellis has mastered these techniques and has put them to good use. If you want to do the same then this book is the best guide I know of and I’ve read many, many books of this type.

Easily the most practical and applicable memory book
Having read several books on memory including "moon walking with Einstein"-JF and taken courses by Jim Kwik on mindvalley and 'superbrain' on udemy I can 100% confirm this book is the most value and helpful of any I have used. Packed with useful insights, countless practical applications and easy steps to follow. It's in more depth than moonwalking with Einstien, yet equally easy to follow as an online course at a fraction of the price. What to improve your memory? This is the book for you. Thanks Nelson!

This is an excellent book on memory
This book covers all the basics such as the link method, memory palace, major system, etc. It is written in a very good style and uses colour to great effect.

Best modern memory book out there
Great memory book, recommend reading Moonwalking with Einstein and then follow it up with Nelson's book which reads almost like a technical manual to Moonwalking.Less prescriptive than other memory books, which promotes producing your own systems which of course will be more memorable than any rote learned system used by another memory expert.Recommend the hard copy, the book itself is visual and highlighted with many images. One of the first times I have seen a memory champion actually list his/her own PAO system. Useful in the way you see an expert creates their own images and systems.A must read along with the older classics such as "The Memory Book" etc, for anyone getting into memory systems.

Brilliant, Practical Guide to Memory Magic!
If you are like me, and a fan of memory skills but have struggled to read a book that CLEARLY outlines the differently techniques of memory then this book is the one you want! It is a wonderful compliment to the other great memory books out there like Moonwalking with Einstein, anything by Harry Lorayne and Dominic O'Brien but Nelson Dellis really walks you through each technique step, by step in a clear and colour-coded fashion. Of all of the memory books that I own (and I think that I have most of them) this is easily one of the absolute best!
