3M Scotch 6004 Super Strength Adhesive, 1 oz Tube

8-28-13. I like it and ordered two more. First use was and outdoor ceramic statue that had a broken piece. Seems to have held up very well. Second use was attaching foam and paper to a plactic pencil box - not so good. It detaches easily but is holding sufficiently for my purposes. I'll continue to experiment with it.

The reason I decided to purchase this specific product was because I was in search of a glue that would be safe to apply to my motorcycle helmet in pursuit of creating the "Tron helmet".After days of research and many phone calls later I finally was connected with an individual at 3m, in the safety materials department involving construction helmets. I expressed my concerns for general adhesives weakening the material of the helmet and she indicated that this is the exact same adhesive that is used on the stickers that go on construction workers hard hats that had to follow X amount of standards to be considered 'safe'.I was still very skeptical before ordering, pondering if this would be the right product. I did not have any 'solid' facts or sworn statements in-front of me so for a while I maintained my prudence.Finally I accepted that the price was reasonable for trialing and the reassurance the agent provided me I decided I would give this a shot. When the adhesive finally arrived it appeared to be identical to the picture. Right away i opened it and applied this to a small inconspicuous area on my helmet and let it dry. If i recall correctly, the instructions were to wait 12+ hours (and I did); however, it appeared to be cured well before that time. When this finally dried I was VERY impressed.I continued to finish my project and used almost 3/4ths of the adhesive to apply my glowing wire to the helmet. My ABSOLUTE favorite part about this is that when it dried, all the 'left over' or extra adhesive that was visible around the wire... it just peeled off seemlessly! My wire still stayed on and it looked like i had bought the helmet stock like that. You cannot see any adhesive around it what-so-ever. (see picture). Compared to other adhesives I've used that leave behind a crust/film that can't be removed without causing damage to the surface beneath it, its not even a contest.Even at the speeds us riders can get up to this has withstood the test of time, elements, and everything else.This has got to be one of the most unique and easy to use adhesives I've ever worked with.

I'm keep buying it even though it won't stick that strong... So far I have bought 3 tubes of this glue.

I've used 3M Super Strength Adhesive for about 20 years, which should tell you how good it is. Mends all sorts of broken stuff around the house--permanently. It seems to stick to just about anything, including ceramics and vinyl. I now use it exclusively to mend punctures in my airbed. Just deflate, clean the spot with alcohol, put a blob of adhesive on the hole and let it dry. Voilà, it's that easy!It's a shame Lowe's and Home Depot no longer sell this product. I've tried their other offerings, like Gorilla Glue, but this stuff is much better IMO. I always keep a tube on hand right next to my tube of Goop. The 3M adhesive isn't as thick as Goop, so one or the other is usually perfect to fix whatever gets broke!*** UPDATE 2014 ***This product has been discontinued. If you can find any, buy it! I found a six-pack a few years back, and am half way through it already. I guess I should have bought two of them.

This hasn't worked on any of the applications I've tried it on. I'm surprised given the good reviews that this product seems to have. I won't buy this again.

We recently installed a new Ribtrax tile floor by Swisstrax in our garage. The tile material is very high density co-polymer with a long name. Basically a high density plastic that can withstand the weight of a car.We needed to install 3' of edging at some stairs to the basement to the tiles where a cut had been made to properly fit the partial tile pieces. Jesse at Swisstrax recommended this adhesive based on feedback from customers. We adhered the edge to the tiles and the concrete floor and for the past 6 weeks it has held perfectly. Easy to use application straight from the tube.

I have not found the need of it yet, so I have not used it. I bought it to have it available for when needed.

I have been using this 3 M product for years but it is difficult to find in most local stores. It has been the best for ceramic and glass repair as well as most other materials. It dries quickly requiring only a short hold together time. It can be waterproof as I used it to repair broken fountains.It has solved multiple problems and continues to be the best general purpose adhesive that I have found. I bought 4 tubes - just in case.
