Question 1

How easy is this to set up? Is it plug and play style or will it need someonw who understands the technical aspects of wifi networking?

Accepted Answer

The one I've got took a while to connect (different Netgear model); it's a bit of a pain, you have to go through the process over and over, you may feel like giving up, but it's worth persisting. Not technically difficult, just follow the instructions and don't expect it to work first time. Once you've set it up you can unplug it and move it around with no issues.

Question 2

Will this pick up and extend the mesh signal from my sky q tv box to my mini box which is now located too far away to pick up the sky q box signal

Accepted Answer

Dear Amazon Customer,Thank you for your question regarding the NETGEAR EX7500 Mesh Extender. The EX7500 extender mode will allow you to extend a wireless network regardless of who the wireless router manufacturer is. If the third-party router has a proprietary mesh mechanism then there may be a possibility of incompatibility between the router and EX7500. The third party routers may have other proprietary mesh features that only work with their devices and not others. If you have any questions, you can also check out our community at any time https://community.netgear.com/t5/English/ct-p/EnglishBest regards,NETGEAR Amazon UK
