Pioneer iPod NAS3-K
The Pioneer looks as good on my desk as it does in paper space. Build quality is excellent. The sound quality is just as good as the Bose sound dock and slighly better due to its unique downfiring sub in the base of the unit. Volume is more than adaquate for my office, since I typically play at lower volumes, but when I want to turn the volume up, the unit can handle the variation. There is only 2 cons that I can think of for this unit:1. The remote is virtually useless when using the iPod Classic (I own the first model) as it really only allows you to turn the unit on/off and then adjust the volume. If an album is pre-selected, then you can cycle through the songs, but you must use the iPod to select another album or change Genres.2. For the price ($300) it's a bit over priced.

"Not worth the Money"- Buyer Beware!
The sound quality of this system is just above average. For another $60.00 to $100.00 you could have a "much" better system by Sony.(rdpix700)The Pioneer system advertises separate bass and treble but this is not the case.If you have a keen sense of hearing or if you are an audiophile,THIS IS NOT THE SYSTEM FOR YOU. If this system sold for $100.00 with free shipping then it would be a very nice option for a gift or for a student entering College. Unfortunately, this system is not a hundread dollars, thus it is not worth the money considering the sound quality that this system produces. If you are not concerned with the sleekness and portability of a Ipod sound deck like I am,you may want to consider the sony LBT-ZX66I shelf system. It's not as sleek as the sony sound dock but it has a lot more power. Be ready though to pay"Twice" as much for the extra power.

A near perfect Ipod dock
I own several Ipod docks from the expensive king of the hill, Samsung DAE 750 to the Pioneer Elite X-SMC 4k to the Onkyo Ionly SBX 300i. My newly purchase ,the Pio XW-NAS3 docking is over my expectation.Out of the box,the sound is rich but somewhat boomy and boxy with bass. On the remote control, there is no adjustment to remedy the issue however the manual comes to the rescue, I set my Ipod 4G EQ to flat and man,I am in for a surprise. Sweet and clear soundwith just enough bass as I wanted. Stevie Ray Vaughn's guitar lick is quite a phenomenon from this little unit. For under $200.00 is a steal, IMHO. If you want Bluetooth, my suggestion is either get the Pio Bluetooth adaptor but I use the Rocketfish Bluetooth receiver ( $59.00 at BB) and voila,it's done.Highly recommended for the current price. I may get another one in black even thought the white color is also matching well with my Imac desktop.Happy hollidays, every one.

Rich Sound
Pioneer Electronics Audition Series XW_NAS3-K Docking Station for iPod has rich sound, looks good and the only negative comment I have is the remote. As reviewed by others, the remote has too narrow of an area in which it will work which is a shame as the product would otherwise easily get five stars.

Definitely Recommend
I love this docking system. I wanted something I could use as an alarm with an iPhone alarm app and it does just that. It charges my phone while I sleep and plays through the speakers when it goes off. On the quality side I really love it as it looks very sleek and sounds great. The down-firing sub really starts to kick in after a few weeks of use then just sounds awesome. (I'm an audiophile)

Nice sound but no Bluetooth
This dock has great sound, and the price was right. However, the packaging and a quick scan of the description make it look like it's Bluetooth compatible, and it isn't. You will need to purchase a separate adapter for around $100.00 in order to have Bluetooth with it. Also, the adapters are either very hard to find or have been discontinued. I finally found one, but this ended up being a high priced sound dock to have it the way we wanted it. Also, the iPhone won't fit in the dock with a case on it. The seller I purchased from charges a 15% re-stocking fee, so it would have been too pricey to send it back. I will carefully read the full description from now on.

As good as it gets
I'm a professional musician and this sounds as good as I could ever need - extremely rich in all registers and a beautiful sleek black minimalist look. I have an older nano pod so the wide base fits this dated model perfectly; that's partly why I recently bought it. The remote control is useful too, since the volume on the nano is tiny to control.
