Access 70950 EZ Retriever II

This is a must have for a pickup truck with a tonneau cover. I originally bought this a few years back. I have since bought two more for family members that saw mine.

This retriever tool is great. I have an old truck and a new truck, I bought a retriever tool for both and leave them in the bed. If you have a hard time getting up into the bed of your truck to retrieve things due to medical conditions like I do (or for any reason), this tool is fantastic, I don't have to climb up into the bed of the truck anymore. The first one I bought for my old truck is several years old, and still works great. even after using it to drag many heavy things to me at the back of the truck. I didn't buy the adjustable length one, because I think this one works better for my needs and truck bed length (both trucks are GMC short beds). And most importantly, I don't know if this tool would break or not if I hadn't modified both tools when I bought them to add a 4" x 1/2" U-shaped piece of aluminum to the end of it - under the screw head - to help take some of the load off the plastic hook. I already had the aluminum, just had to cut it and drill one hole. Many people have seen me use this tool and have remarked that they were going to buy one too.

Such a simple idea done perfectly! I have an overland rack on the back of my ZR2 and it was a real pain to roll up my tonneau cover on the bed. With this I can push the cover open then use the hook to pull it back. It’s perfect. I might buy one for the house so I can retrieve stuff the dog takes under the bed. Super light weight and sturdy. It’s awesome!

We bought a huge Ford F250 with an 8 foot bed for towing a big camper. Now, I am a 63 year old 5 foot two old lady, and my arms barely reach past the lowered tailgate. I bought this EZ Retriever thinking it might come in handy, but so would a long dowel rod with an L bracket. Well, not being handy and also an being an Amazon junky, I ordered it. I gotta tell ya, this thing is as handy as a pocket on a shirt. While making multiple trips to the garden center for plants and mulch, I don't know how I would have done it without dragging the step stool over and climbing in and out of the truck bed multiple times. When loading stuff I just push items back with it, then unloading, just drag it out. The rubber/plastic coating on the short arm keeps it from putting holes in stuff accidentally, and kinda makes it stick so when you use it, the short arm doesn't slip as much. I unloaded 18 bags of mulch all without having to crawl into the bed to push stuff out. If you are lazy or have short arms, this thing will be worth every penny. In my opinion it has paid for itself.

The hook end is NOT metal, but plastic. Not sure how it will hold up as I just got it. I don't think this is worth 40 USD and am sad I didn't make one out of an old broom handle.

A simple basic, lightweight hook. The length is long enough to reach in on a truck with an 8 foot bed. Aluminum tubing for the handle and a plastic end to hook the item.
