HoMedics SS-6510BLK SoundSpa Fusion Clock Radio with iPhone / iPod Docking Station ("IPHONE NOT INCLUDED")

I bought this for my office as a sound machine once my old one broke since I can hear everyone in the offices around mine (our walls are papaer thin). however, the sound is very distracting if in the room itself so normally I would put the sound machine in the hallway or near the wall next to the adjacent office. But I would not leave this outside my office as it is very nice and would get stolen. So, I have to leave it in the room but the good sound quality makes it very loud and distracting in the room while I'm trying to meet with patients. plus, my office is on the inside part of the building away from windows so I get poor reception for the radio channels - if any at all. But, it charges my iPhone 4S and will play my music from that beautifully. I would love to have this in my home, maybe in my bedroom or office there. But for my work place, it really is not working out the way I had hoped. But it is a nice design and the sound is good for iTunes songs and when I can get a signal for the radio. Also, I like that the sound machine part of it is not on a timer so I can leave it on for long periods of time. I also enjoy that it comes with an AUX cable so I can plug in other devices to play through the speakers. I would highly recommend the machine for those reasons. I just wish it worked out better for the situation I needed it for.

I just got this clock. It's very cool and I like the different settings and options! The "soothing sounds" sound real and not manufactured. The speakers are great for the music, surprisingly better than I would expect for an alarm clock. The only problem is that the display is very bright and can disrupt sleep. There is an option to turn off the display light, but then you can't see the time in the dark. Otherwise, it's a great buy!

I wanted a sound machine/alarm clock/ iphone charger/player to replace those 3 items on my nightstand. Turns out there is not much on the market that fits all 3 bills (note to manufacturers!). After a good amount of research I bought this. The sound is OK, nothing impressive, but fine. The clock and alarm are both easy to set, which is nice.And then it gets pretty bad. You have to hit a button to turn on the alarm, you toggle from alarm1 to alarm2 to alarm 1 & 2, to off... not the greatest set up if your wife gets up after you and doesn't like hearing all that button pressing (the buttons have an assertive click sound). To make matters worse the light is SO shockingly bright that I have to turn it off at night, so in the morning I have to turn the light back on (couple more button presses) before I can shut off the alarm because otherwise I can't see which of those options it is set to. As for the sound machine, I prefer white noise, which is not an option on this machine. The problem is easily solved though because I can play the white noise from an app on my phone through the speakers. However, it only lets you choose ipod as an audio option when one is hooked up and for some reason it doesn't always know when one is in. This leads me to installing and uninstalling my iphone several times and then scrolling through the audio options (more clicking buttons!) until it does. Last night I couldn't get it to go at all and slept without the sound (and is why I write this today). And the kicker... the buzzer is barely audible! I'm a fairly light sleeper and have slept through it twice.I've had it for less than a week and have woken my wife up every single day I've used it. I may have to get rid of it or there is a good chance she may beat me to death with it!

I bought the product because it contained the most features of any of the white noise machines, but have had constant trouble with it. The light is either off or far too bright, which means off for me, so I can't see the time at night. Big negative. Getting my iphone to play on this is hit and miss. I usually have to play with the controls for 5 minutes to get the phone to play music, and often Siriusxm will not play on this machine, Pandora sometimes does. This mystifies me, though my music stored on my iphone is much easier to get to play. The white noises on the machine are not great, so the extra noises are useless. Bottom line: you won't use the clock or the noises, so just get an iphone player to put next to your bed. Download one of the numerous sleep apps that play hundreds of sounds, and just play that on the speakers.

I got this and was really excited about it. The light on the clock is really bright, but that doesn't bother me as much as it would other people. It works like it should, but don't know if it's worth the money for what you get.

The 2 features I wanted--and found--in this nightstand clock were iPhone charging and white noise generating capabilities. I was surprised at how few such products exist with these features. It charges my iPhone 4 without problems, and the multiple white noise options are exactly what I wanted. The reason it loses a star (maybe it should lose 2 stars) is the light on the clock is far too bright, even at the lower of the 2 brightness options. Most of the time, I keep the light turned off.

This has been one of my favorite purchases. The sounds are perfect....especially for the price.

First of all the display will illuminate your entire bedroom. If the alarm wakes you and you have the display off, when you turn the display on so you can see what time it is, it turns the snooze off. In fact, if you touch any other button it will turn the snooze off. The volume for sleep and alarm are the same. There were several times where the alarm did not wake me because I didn't want my sleep sound so loud. Maybe I just had a bad one, but many of the features didn't work or were very on satisfactory and it was pretty expensive.
