My iPod took a swim down a rapid . . .in my husbands pocket. When I gently took it out of his pocket, on our way to the hospital because he broke a rib, it would not turn on. On no, it was soaked, there goes all of my pictures. We were out of town so the next day (because hubby was at the ER all night) I bought rice and put my iPod in it for 2 days while we carefully packed up and carefully drove home and I waited for my silica gel to arrive. I wasn't taking any chances, so when it arrived, I put the iPod in a small tupperware container and put the silica gel all around it and left it sealed in the container for another week. On day 8 I slowly took it out of the container, surrounded by silica gel packets, and plugged it in. It charged and started working! Woo hoo! iPod saved . . .now only 6 more weeks until my husband is better:)PS- The silica packets can be baked on low and re dried to save another iPod an other day!

I have a large jewelry armoire and a lot of sterling. The sterling would be tarnished in just a few weeks. I got tired of cleaning it all the time so I would just clean what I was going to wear. The jewelry actually looked horrible in the armoire. I live in an area with high humidity so I thought I would try these. I threw several packets in the armoire drawers and the doors that hold necklaces and six months later.....everything still shines! Love them.

I got these silica gel packets to store with my MTG collection - mainly to keep my foil cards from warping.These 2 gram packs are a good size to be able to put into a deckbox or cardboard card box to keep your foils nice and dry.So far they have helped with some warping and I may try putting some heavily warped cards in a sealed bag surrounded by packets.

My iPad was having false touches even after cleaning the screen and rebooting. I suspected there was some moisture inside interfering with the digitizer so I put my iPad and this entire bag of silica gel packs in a large ziplock bag. After a couple days, it was fixed!

I use these constantly especially when I had to move and store goods in boxes. Especially for shoes, handbags, electrical gadgets. Prevents items from getting "sticky" or corroded when stored in containers or boxes. This is something I would keep buying all the time.

These are great for preserving any dried materials from humidity. I dehydrate wild harvested mushrooms and I put one of these packets with the dried material in the storage container with the material to prevent humidity from ruining my work. They are easy to "reactivate". I use the oven method but I have read that you can use a microwave as well

Love, love, love the resealable bag that the desiccant comes in! Easy to grab whatever amount I need for the space. Great size and overall good product.

I've even used this to keep bathroom drawers mildew resistant. If you read instructions (on this item or online) you can typically dry them out then reuse them if you don't want to buy more in future. I recommend this product.
