Janome DC4030 Pink Ribbon Computerized Sewing Machine with 30 Built-In Stitches

I have had this product for 5 years and I feel like I still don't know all it's features. It is a nice machine. My favorite is that you don't have to use the peddle with it.

The downloadable brochure from the Janome site gives the price for this machine as $599. This seller may not be overcharging, but they sure aren't giving a generous $300 discount, either.

Used for two elementary projects performed exceedingly smooth and was easy to learn and operate. The instructions for the self-threader were nearly impossible to understand, but with perseverance we figured it out. If it is reliable and remains similarly smooth and strong over the next 10 to 15 years it will stand head and shoulders over the field.

This was a Christmas present for my lady friend. She is very happy with the machine. Let us just say life is very, very good!

I'm an experienced home sewist, and I LOVE this machine! I bought it 5 years ago, after a detailed internet search, and it has performed wonderfully well. I wanted a sturdy, basic machine; I didn't need a bunch of fancy stitches. I've used the machine mostly for clothing and home decor, and it's great for all rupees of fabric. The speed lever is great for beginners. One problem: the button holes are always a little too large for the buttons. I easily get around this problem by closing the buttonhole attachment to a smaller size. It's a little bit of a hassle, but doable. closing

There are so many things I am enjoying about this machine! 1. I love the start/stop button--it starts at the beginning and ends at the end of decorative stitches! Threading the machine is easy and the auto needle threaders is great! I starting sewing right out of the box (just added thread and fabric :) . The stitches look great-- and it is very simple and quick to change feet (no tools needed) or change the bobbin. I will update again after I have completed more projects. It actually only took 1 & 1/2 days for the sewing machine to arrive! Love the machine and have already ordered several others items from Mr. Vac & Mrs. Sew and received the same great service every time! I wish I could give you 10 stars!

Excellent machine. I bought this looking for a starter machine to get back into sewing after a 10 year respite. It's sturdy quiet and has adjustable foot pressure - great machine - the new version is the Janome DC 4030. I think you'll be very happy if you purchase. It meets all my needs except embroidery. . .
