I Love Lucy: Colorized Collection

Like that it’s in color and feels like it’s kind like it’s made this year.

My wife is so pleased to have the full set and my daughter had dibs on it already.

I already had three DVDs (two shows each) which I wouldn't have bought had I known this was coming out. Also included are episodes which were only offered on VHS. Well worth it at this price. To me, the color gives the picture a feeling of depth. To those purists who don't think they should colorize these: I believe if people had a color TV back then, they would have. This makes filming "The Cisco Kid" in color made no sense to me.

This is the best job of Colorizing a TV series I've ever seen! The quality suggests the originals would support a 4K UHD scan and an HD BLU Ray release of the entire series. A 4K UHD color reproduction of the entire series would be on everyone's wish list. Please make it happen!!!

This was my favorite show growing up. Strange and cool to see them in color!

This version is great. It has the “upgraded” Christmas show with the colorized flashbacks and has the full episodes (the currently aired colorized versions are clipped for today’s run times).It has 2 DVDs:DVD 1 includes Pioneer Women, Lucy Does a TV commercial, Job Switching, The Million Dollar Idea, Bonus Bucks, L.A. at Last, Lucy Gets In Pictures, and The Fashion Show.DVD 2 includes The Dancing Star, Harpo Marx, Lucy Visits Grauman’s, Lucy and John Wayne, Lucy Goes to Scotland, Lucy’s Italian Movie, The Christmas Show, and Lucy and Superman as well as the Colorized stick figure animation and the Jingle Bells short.I am only giving 4 stars because there is no play all option and there are some episodes that are not colored well.This won’t take the place of the original show, but adds to it. My kids enjoy watching these after seeing the black and white version to see the colors.

While I’m surprised no one has released a fully colorized series collection yet, I am glad I was able to purchase this dvd where a few select episodes were colorized based on color photos and descriptions of what the set actually looked like while filming. At least for me the colorized episodes allows me to imagine what the audience saw while I Love Lucy was being filmed.

Well worth buying. The colourisation adds depth to the chosen episodes.
