Warm AudioEQP-WA Tube Equalizer

For all the Pultec users, I put this unit up against an EQH-2 that came from a very well known studio back in the day. Do understand that the 2 is different than these units were modeled after but, I was still able to get a good idea on performance. First the build quality is good. The first thing I did was put both of the eqs in line, engaged with no boost or cut. They were very close in tone and output. The Warm had a bit of boost in the high end around 10k. Once I started to boost output on low and high, I noticed that the Warm boosted about twice the db than the Pultec. This could be because of the age of the Pultec. It was used for many years and i'm not sure when it was last serviced. When I leveled the outputs I was pretty confident that the Warm would do what I need it to do down the line. The bottom end was very tight. You will have to watch the high end though. It is very sensitive. I think after getting use to how they react I believe anyone will have great success with these units. Note. Might want to investigate different tubes for a warmer tone?

Never having actually used a hardware Pultec EQ, I bought this after some youtube searches since it's appears to be all the rage right now. With clones and the re-emerging Pultec companies offerings not worth the healthy investment from my stand point, this budget friendly version was worth a chance during my latest equipment splurge. The build quality is excellent, especially at this price point. This is a sweetening eq and the cut/boost set up works surprisingly well. Easily adding clarity without harshness and thickening without mud. The extra frequencies Warm has included are a huge bonus- They actually make this a much more usable and versatile eq then the clones would be.If yo don't need surgical, but need sweetening, this EQ should be on you look-at list.

Amazing eq for the price, I call it the Pultec of the poor, haha. Highly recommended!!

Great vacuum tube warm sound

Unlike some engineers, I actually have used the original Pultec. Warm has created an eq that is so close to the original that I dare you to say you can actually tell the difference. With added frequencies, it’s even more useful than the original. Great tracking eq for drums (or anything else), or throw a pair of these on your stereo buss for mixing. Originally designed for mastering, so don’t be bashful about using it in a mastering chain as well.Bottom line, it does what a Pultec should do at a fraction of the price.

I already had one and this one gives me a pair for mastering in stereo.This unit has a very unique set of filters and frequencies. They do a different type of thing than the normal parametric eq.It's a tube unit with transformer ins and outs. Sometimes just going through the unit with the eq section activated can provide a nice tube richness.Very well built!
