I got this because it was tall and looked like it would match the baby's crib. It was super easy to put together; I did it by myself at 8 1/2 months pregnant. It's good for the purpose of holding baby clothes but nothing heavier. The only complaint is that it's not super sturdy. It comes with a strap to secure it to the wall. I haven't done that yet but will when the baby gets bigger. Otherwise, it's functional and it looks good with the rest of the baby's furniture.

It took me 3 days to put this together. Granted, the power went out during a storm on the first night I started on it so I had to stop… and then I only worked on it for a couple hours the second day before I had to stop because my daughter was having friends over for her birthday… but, if I was to add up the hours… I’d say it took me maybe 5-6 hours all together doing it by myself, but with the help of a couple beers too of course.Putting the frame together was pure torture. I say this as a human being who isn’t in the greatest of shape and has rarely ever had to put furniture together before. Even though I wanted to die as I put all the support pieces together, I have to admit it really is a simple process. Insert screw with washer, tighten with allen wrench. Simple. Awful. But straightforward.I was one screw short for the back panel, but I could have very possibly just dropped it and was unable to locate it.I needed a hammer for the push pins.The bottom board for the drawers were numbered 14 instead of 15, as the instructions said. There was another part also numbered 14 so I had two different parts numbered as 14.The instructions showed the assembly of the frame backwards/inverted so it took me a while to get started until I figured that out.None of those things were necessarily an issue. Just wanted to point it out.As you can see, I purchased different drawer knobs… they did not come with the chest of drawers. The black wooden ones pictured in the stock photo are the ones that came with it.Overall, I love it. There were soooooo many screws and additional brackets. This thing may be made out of soft, cheap wood but it’s built pretty solid. It’s going to last for many, many years. With that said though, it does dent, knick, and scratch pretty easily. Regular use shouldn’t cause very noticeable cosmetic issues however. You just can’t be rough around it.It came packaged very well. It was packaged with lots of styrofoam and wrapped in protective film, packaged tightly inside of a box, then placed in another box for extra protection through shipping. It was VERY VERY heavy though. My 14 year old and I couldn’t even get it inside the house after it was delivered. I had to call in some muscles to get it inside and take it upstairs where I assembled it. The actual chest of drawers itself is quite heavy, but much more manageable for moving than it was when it was in the box.I’m very pleased with this purchase. I’m glad I chose this one, even though it’s a baby brand… this was for my 14 year old daughter. And she’s very happy with it too. In fact, she picked this one out of 5 I had shown her.

Not a bad dresser but beware it requires all assembly ,but though time consuming it can be done with minimal tools we used a rupper hammer flat and philips ,was sturdy after assembly

I purchased this dresser in 2018, flash forward to 2023 and the exterior still looks just as good as the day we built it. It's very well made, sturdy, has a beautiful exterior finish, and has been an all around great purchase!The only minor issue we ever had, wasn't the dressers fault. I was over stuffing the drawers, and a supporting piece fell off the drawers bottom due of the pressure. But it never affected anything and isn't visible. So even with small damage caused by my own doing, it still works exactly like its supposed too.Highly Recommend

I was iffy about ordering furniture online, so I went to my local Big Box store of "Lots" to look at dressers, not needing anything fancy either. I saw throw away type junk for over 500.00, that the idiot store people couldn't even put together correctly. I felt violated just looking at the junk and the price tag.I saw this Stork Craft 5 drawer dresser for less than half the price and purchased it based on the reviews and rewards. So very glad I did!It was packed very well, well thought out and some parts were even shrink wrapped. There was only a couple of minor scratches in the wood and one could tell it was stained. For the price it wasn't a complaint. Only one spot with a rough splinter but not enough to complain or ding a star for quality. It's not a solid piece of oak furniture, so you have to keep that in mind.I have put lots of furniture together like this over the decades, and I can see why this won awards. It was well thought out and done with more precision than any I have put together before. "Folks," if you are having a difficult time assembling it, thinking it's too hard, or too much work, set it down, and call a friend who has some basic knowledge of this. Ladies, if you ask a man friend to help you put something together, he will show up with bells on. It's not a complicated build. Lots of pieces, but that is the ingenuity of it's design. It was actually a fun project.Take your bleedin time, there is no phone app that will put it together for you. Everything went together well, fit properly and lined up smoothly. I kept waiting to encounter a problem or a, "Aha- Gotcha" moment, but It there was no glitches or problems. When the drawers were all put together (which I thought were going to be a problem too), I thought for sure, there would be an issue with the drawers going in, sliding, not fitting, or uneven. Nope! They all went in smoothly and too easy. My first thought when the last drawer went in, and it opened and closed - lining up perfectly, I thought "No Way!" If I ever needed another dresser like this, I would order another one. The only thing that would make it more perfect are drawer dividers, but that's just me, liking things like that.If you don't own a screwdriver, have a wee bit of patience or the time, and you never assembled anything that basic, don't complain if you booger it up. Take your time, and look at and read the directions for each step. There is no phone app or Alexia to do it for you. It's a well worth project without having to re-adjust or force or modify anything. This dresser is great and looks amazing with the black crib we purchased. Decent overall quality and valuable for the price. However, it arrived damaged (shown in pics). This is the only reason for the 3 star review. I wouldn’t mind it as much if it was somewhere else on the dresser but it’s on the front top corner where everyone can see. :( Not sure if I received a previously returned product or if it was Amazon’s shipping and handling that was at fault.

Solid product. Durable, easy to assemble. Well made.
