Started using this stuff when our water-softener began giving us grief. We had it serviced and the guy who came out replaced a gasket or something and recommended this stuff. We add a couple of caps-full (or so) as each bag of salt is emptied into the salt tank (where the brine-solution girds its proverbial loins for the electro-chemical charge the resin needs capture the minerals). Since we started using it, the softener seems to be working better and better. Oh happy day. If buying it on Amazon, consider the price per ounce. The larger bottles are typically a better deal.

This product last very well beyond 8 month if use as directed. It definitely do what it says will do,, no runarounds .

This is a wonderful product that I have used before. It has added years to the life of the resin in our softener unit. This time, however, it arrived fused into a single block in the container; impossible to use. I did receive a full refund, so three cheers for great customer service.

Great stuff

Our water has a high mineral content which requires a water softener to minimize mineral deposits, and enhance cleaning. Our 15+ year old softener had been losing its ability to provide soft water, and had reached a point where a brine regeneration did not provide any soft water. We decided to explore the option of cleaning the resin prior to looking at replacement options. Following the product's instructions, two treatments were used for a deep clean. The softener is back to providing soft water. We will now use the product on a regular basis, following the instructions on the bottle.

I had an issue with brownish water in my brine tank so I originally put 1/2 cup in it, mixed it around and did a manual regen then I sprinkle some in (palm pull) about once a month and mix it around a bit (don't need to regen) and so far so good. No more brownish water in the brine tank. Great stuff.

Did a great job rejuvenating my water softner resin but rather expensive for Citric acid

Not sure how effective it is, just trying to keep my softener up to snuff so trying this stuff
