Safavieh Home Amalia 47-inch Cognac and Dark Brown Leather Weave Bench

It sits at the end of my king size bed, and comes in handy to sit and put shoes on or holds the pillows on my bed. It looks very nice too.

I wanted something light weight and this little guy delivered. Easy assemble, looks great! What else do you need!?! The bar in the middle is a lil but uncomfortable but not a huge issue for me.

Pros:-Looks good from afar.-Well packaged.Cons:-Leather has what appears to be glue stains and it is dirty.-Construction of the bench is very poor overall. For $250, I expected wood thicker than 1/4", better sanded wood pieces, less wood filler and certainly less glue.-Corner reinforcements are broken and glued together, so for a saving of 50 cents, they lost a customer.-Bolt holes are too wide and the washers are barely covering them. Couple of nuts have sunk, so I'll have to put larger washers.-Three out of the eight leg bolts are pulling out of the legs and won't tighten.-The bench top is not square.-Once assembled, legs are not of even height and the bench is wobbly.There is a card that states that this piece was done by real artisans, ha ha give me a break.To summarize, I got shafted.

But it is wholly decorative, not for actual use. Am using it at the foot of the bed for light things like pillows.

It is gorgeous! The wood has more of a red tone than expected, but I still love it.

High quality and gorgeous in person. Such a steal.

It is very orange. It seems like the company used the cheapest wood they could, and stained it. It has the thinnest possible coat of sealer. I’m hoping the straps will wear well because right now they look pleather-y. It’s a comfortable seat, besides its quality shortcomings. I’ll give it a day, but I’m not convinced I’ll keep it.

This bench arrived looking dirty and scuffed. It was properly packaged with lots of packing material so I can only guess that this was a floor model or a used bench returned by someone else. Very disappointed.
