Every kids dream.. and every parents night mare!! I can't stand hearing a ball bounce in my house!!! But I can't give it a bad review for my hatred towards it. I deducted two stars for the durability because my child dunks on it and the back clear piece and tiny stress cracks in it from his ruff play. But several months later it's still holding up (even though I pray it breaks regularly). Over all great buy for the price tag!! We have went through probably 3 other over the door bball rims and they all have broke within weeks! So this one is definitely holding up much better!!

I love this over the door mini basketball hoop! The item came in a clean brown cardboard box and was neatly packed. There was a small amount of assembly to put the hoop and net together, but the instructions were easy to follow and took about 5 minutes. The hoop comes with a deflated basketball and pump that worked well to inflate the ball. From there is was dunk city! The plexiglass backboard has a lot of give to it that seemed to absorb a lot of the force and the rim has springs so that it is a breakaway rim. Overall, this is an awesome gift!

We’ve been through SO many over the door basketball hoops, I finally searched for a sturdier one and found this one. I am SO happy I did!! We’ve had it for about 3 or 4 months now and it has held up flawlessly to 2 big teenagers dunking on it over and over every single day. It’s hung in our upstairs hallway and it’s actually quite annoying how much they play on it and how rough and loud they are all the darn time, but I have to say, this hoop is one sturdy hoop! I’m shocked they haven’t been able to break it! Lol!When I first opened the package, it looked like a lot of parts to put together, but it literally took me less than 5 minutes, it was no big deal at all. Definitely worth it for the hours upon hours that it has been played on!Definitely recommend spending the little bit of extra money on this hoop if you have rough players. It’s definitely worth it and you will not be disappointed!

I received brackets with flaking paint. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the steel was oxidized--and yet they still painted over it. Furthermore, one nut was misthreaded and therefore unusable making assembly impossible. I mean come on guys, someone needs to go to China every once in a while to keep an eye on the factory! What a waste of my time.

Update: I have now left voicemails and opened a warranty ticket via Franklin Sports' website and still nothing. At this point I don't expect that they will ever respond no matter what channel I try. I definitely won't buy any of their products now. I will update this review if I ever hear back from them.Initially it seemed like this was going to be a solid hoop. I did *a lot * of research before buying this hoop. I read many reviews of people who couldn't believe the amount of abuse the hoop could take from teenagers dunking on it. They must have gotten something different than us because it broke in 33 days from my 9yo son dunking on it. 3 days longer than the return window. So now I have a piece of garbage.They put way too stiff of springs in the 'breakaway' rim. The springs take more force to compress than the backboard takes to flex A LOT. Basically the springs barely compress at all because the backboard is about to snap in half where the plexiglass connects to the door hooks.This is the second hoop my son has had. The last one didn't seem very strong but it still lasted almost a year.I've tried contacting their support number listed on Amazon but it just ends up going to some generic voicemail after navigating their phone tree. I'm not expecting to actually get called back.

Lights, camera, and nothing else. If the guy wearing the big red coat and drives a sleigh didn't have this under the tree I would return it. The two bolts that hold the hoop on the frame had terrible machining when produced. No, I didn't cross thread them they just didn't have threads the entire length of the bolt. I tried to use some stainless bolts but the heads need a square base to secure the rim. Little JB Weld to fill the void and ready for Christmas morning. Overall a 15 minute process turned into over an hour because of poor quality control. This goal is worth $14.99 for the headache but no the price I paid. The back board was scratched with very fine scratches not impressed. The packaging was all intact so the scratches had to happen during manufacturing. The entire backboard is not sturdy even after you attach all the support brackets. The LED lights and score counter are great but it all ends at that point.

I bought this for my classroom. I teach soecial education and my kids love playing basketball. I definitely recommend this item because the rim is connected to a spring so if they grab the rim a bit or pull on the net the rim wont break off (unless they hang from it maybe lol). It was definitely a great decision purchase for me.Very easy assembly and all the parts were included.

I wanted to like this, but the net was ripped when I tried to put it on and pulled on it. I had to take it off and used the other side. Now I am looking for them to send a replacement instead of sending the whole thing back and I am directed to the Manufacturer's website?3/23/2020I like to submit a quick update that after contacting Franklin customer support 3/11/2020, Kevin W. with customer support sent out a new net and provided the USPS tracking within 2 days. I have updated from 1 star to 4 stars. It is a nice big backboard, which can seem flimsy at first, but secured against a door is sturdy and stable. I would suggest using a nerf-like material mini-basketball (little tikes 6 in diameter works best) to cut down on the noise factor. The b-ball that it comes with is super loud.

It was easy to assemble and the instructions were semi straight forward. However, the board rattles everytime you shoot for a basket. I wish the board was made of steel or something more sturdier than the hard plastic. Every shot makes the board rattle. The rim, the ball and everything else is solid. It's only the board. The plastic board was not made to handle the steel rim. It's pleasing to look at but you can't practically play and have fun with your kids with it.

Hoop, net, and ball are pretty good quality for the price. Backboard is flimsy plexiglass. The whole thing is unbelievably loud when the kid plays with it when it’s hung on the door because the plexiglass flexes and rattles. Stay away until the backboard is improved.

This mini basketball net and ball is awesome. Because we live in apartments and outdoor play was not possible during this last Covid pandemic crisis months. It has helped me, myhusband and especially my 5 year old child to be active and play indoor. Very easy to assemble and perfect to hang anywhere in your room doors. Its amazing. But the ball is small and not too bouncy as a normal basketball.

Amazing product! I know someone commented the plexi glass was flimsy making it loud, but I can’t say I have experienced a quiet over the door basketball net for a child, it’s fun! The dimensions were exact and the quality is spot on! My son looovvvesss it and it’s holding up to all the slam dunks and roughing housing the boys get up to. A must purchase versus the smaller over the door nets. A lot of sponge backing to protect the door, quality metal rim and net. Bonus coming with a decent ball and a pump!

THIS NET SUCKS!!!!! The LED’s went out on the second day and the sensor never works on any shot unless the ball somehow almost touches it, plus they should provide some type of adhesive patch because it shakes so much, TERRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!
